The Obama administration has been really, really busy lately. They’ve got teams of people working to spin the news from Ukraine into a tale of Russian weakness.
More teams working on ways to avoid talking about ObamaCare plus sub-teams crafting lies about sign ups and cost.
There’s a couple of dozen people busy not talking about Michelle, her mom, and kids running around China with 70 of their closest friends. Busy, busy, busy.
They’ve also been busy letting our veterans know how much the Obamas and their people love veterans. They have to have a big group of worker bees on this one.
…they were made to wait too long to get a simple colonoscopy that would have detected cancer and saved lives… what makes matters worse is that the VA knows all about its problems and has done almost nothing, nothing, to prevent some veterans from dying…
Well, not exactly nothing.
They’re doing nothing for the veterans, but they’re working their rear ends off making sure they can cover this scandal as they’ve managed to cover up Fast & Furious and Benghazi.
Rep. Jeff Miller (R-FL), the chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee has been trying to get answers from the VA.
“The fact that we’ve had veterans who have died in the very facilities that are supposed to be taking care of them, and not by natural means, by means that could have been prevented is egregious,” said Miller, R-Florida. “And it’s not acceptable.”
Miller said the VA, from the top down, has consistently ignored his committee’s requests to find out who is responsible. Even with the delays in care which have led to deaths and serious injuries, the congressman said not a single person has been fired or even demoted, and in fact some of those responsible may have even gotten bonuses.
We are a Marine Corps family. Our Marine is now a civilian, but because of injuries sustained in the Corps, he depends on the VA for care. Needless to say, we’re not interested an investigation. We’d prefer to see the administrators of those hospitals indicted on any kind criminal charges a prosecutor can trump up.
We’re happy to stand with trumped up charges.
CNN has made repeated requests for interviews with top officials at the VA, including President Obama’s appointed head of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Secretary Eric Shinseki. The requests have all been denied, or ignored.
The VA did issue a written statement from Dr. Robert Petzel, the Under Secretary for Health at the department of Veterans Affairs. In the statement, Petzel wrote that “The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) cares deeply for every Veteran we are privileged to serve blah, blah, blah.”
We need to pause to note the SVA Secretary Eric Shinseki is the very same weasel who, as a retired General, spent his days in front of the press whining about Obama’s predecessor. Secretary Shinseki is a shameful human being and a blemish on the Army’s standard of promotion.
Then, there’s Petzel. Dr. Petzel, there is a special place in Hell for you.
On behalf of one Marine Corps family, Mr. President, we don’t have an adequate vocabulary to express our feelings. And yes, on some things we do have feelings.
Finally, for everybody else, please take note: you’re looking at the face of ObamaCare. Your medical future looks exactly like this.
