Let us think about that, “I take the Constitution very seriously…”
And while we’re at it, if you like your health insurance you can keep it.
Oh that George Bush. Consolidating power in the White House and refusing to work with the Democrats in Congress. What a difference six years make.
President Obama said he would “reverse that” and we have to give credit where credit is due. Just look at the way this President worked with the Republican House to pass statutory budgets every year vs. that incompetent, power mad, Bush who never signed off on a budget.
Or that crazy Bush who completely shut the Congressional Democrats out of the decision making process prior to going to war in Afghanistan and Iraq. Why, they never even had the opportunity to debate the question and let’s not forget that Bush shut the UN out as well.
And how about when Bush simply disregarded the fact that Congress was in session and made all those recess appointments.
We need more coffee.
Have you noticed that everything Barack Obama says has an expiration date?
Unfortunately, as we’ve noted here, there’s nothing anybody is going to do about it. Perhaps, if Republicans can take back the Senate in November they can begin to do some real investigating of this President’s scandalous behavior, but even so, the best we can hope for is to pretty much shut down his agenda and disconnect his phone. We’re stuck with him for three more years.
Elections have consequences, please remember that if you get the urge to stay home this November.
