Top Four Plumbers of 2013

247Plumbing defined as fixing leaks, measuring depths, delivering life-sustaining water and disposing of human waste:

Life, as we know it, would not be worth living without plumbers; and it would be more worth living if an electoral majority of Americans had heeded the 2008 warning of Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher against hiring a community organizer intent on arbitrarily spreading the wealth of Americans to Democratic Party cronies. His prescient warning measuring the depths of failed economic liberalism then and delivery of life-sustaining wisdom here at since, makes him Plumber of the Millennium and #1 for 2013.

2. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)

Since tea partier conservatives returned returned control of the House of Representatives to Republicans in the 2010 mid-term election, Speaker John Boehner let the clout and anti-Obamacare brand of the GOP leak away with inaction. That is, until Ted Cruz occupied the Senate floor for over 23 hours last October just as Americans were experiencing the devastating roll-out of and massive cancellations of insurance policies Democrats had promised they could keep.

Thanks to Cruz, in defiance of Boehner, McConnell and other elected Republican leaders, no American thinks any GOP fingerprints can be found on Obamacare and all Americans understand that the disaster has but one author: liberal Obama Democrats.

No, Obamacare was not immediately de-funded, delayed or repealed; but no thanks to establishment Republican leaders and the Beltway conservative intelligentsia, the stage is set for a conservative landslide in the 2014 mid-term election and an American future devoid of exchanges, mandates and an otherwise wrecked health care system.

3. Dr. Ben Carson

After establishing his bona fides as the best plugger of brain leaks as a pioneering neurosurgeon, he decided to plumb the depths of Obamacare’s evils and found them the worst foisted on America since slavery:

4. Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC)

When the plumbing in a Congress trying to get Americans to care about dead Americans in Benghazi, backed up with anti-Muslim videos prompting Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to ask, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”, Spartanburg, S.C.’s representative had answers in hearings that started the process of clearing public discourse of human liberal-Democrat waste. One example:

A South Carolina congressman hammered Adm. Mike Mullen’s decision not to interview then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton or President Obama as to what role, if any, they may have played in the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya.

Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy’s pit-bull tenacity — something he honed during his years as a prosecutor — served him well as he questioned Mullen’s judgment as co-chair of the Benghazi Accountability Review Board. Gowdy began by establishing that Clinton was neither interviewed nor presented with written questions about what she knew before, during and immediately after the events of the Sept. 11, 2012, raid on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

He then asked Mullen the questions the secretary should have been asked. The best Mullen could do was to offer his best guess.

“Was Secretary Clinton aware of the attacks on Western targets in Benghazi, Libya, leading up to Sept. 11, 2012?” he asked. “Was she aware that the British ambassador was almost assassinated in Benghazi in the weeks and months leading up to Sept. 11, 2012? Was she aware of the request for additional security at the Benghazi facility?”

Time after time, Mullen couldn’t offer a definitive answer, as Gowdy’s examination of the witness became more and more heated. The congressman eventually quoted Clinton as saying the review board was “hard at work looking at everything,” then asked Mullen how he “could look at everything when you don’t even bother to interview the person who is ultimately responsible for what happened to the State Department?”

Receiving no satisfactory response, Gowdy read a similar quote from Barack Obama, then asked whether the president had been interviewed about his role in the affair. The answer was, of course, no.

Final disposition of human waste awaits the elections of 2014 and 2016.
