Billy Graham’s Last Crusade: My Hope America begins on 95th Birthday

A year in the making, the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association’s home-based My Hope ministry makes America its 57th venue beginning this Thursday.

The 20th Century’s greatest Christian evangelist will appear in the televised launch of his time-tested program to reach the un-churched for Christ in a home-based ministry that reminds of early Church expansion in the Roman Empire soon after the Crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus and Day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit empowered believers to “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.” – Mark 16:15-16

Holy-BibleYours truly signed up to participate last year at Chamblee-Tucker Christian Fellowship here in metro Atlanta, one of more than 28,000 churches participating nationwide. One of the primary reasons for the effort that has been so successful in 57 other nations, is to reach the increasing number of American youth that do not profess faith in Christ:

Every millennial I know needs to see this program and hear its message. Graham’s message isn’t a nostalgic one for another time. It’s a message for now, spoken by someone whose very life commands the attention of skeptics and believers alike. I understand why my parents and grandparents and leaders of all parties from all nations found in him the very incarnation of hope. I felt that hope as I watched.

Given one last time to speak, Billy Graham has chosen to address a new generation. This is a gift, and we will return the favor by spreading his message virally around the world.

Visit the My Hope with Billy Graham website for information concerning how to participate in home meetings of others, schedule one yourself and review the messages to be broadcast online.

God bless Billy Graham’s ministry and may God bless America.
