Tyranny: Don’t pay attention to the man behind the “Iron” curtain

Iron_CurtainI began warning people about Barack Obama’s ambitions long before the 2008 presidential election and even confronted him in my own front lawn about it. Although he was candid about taking from the productive and giving to the non-productive, no one gave it the weight it deserved until years and years later.

It’s nice to see a lot more people are beginning to take the possibility seriously that Obama meant what he said regarding the fundamental change of America. He was raised in it, he wrote about it, he’s said it, he’s let it slip out, and now his actions have confirmed it. Barack Obama was not kidding – he’s out to change this Republic. Only now are people taking Dear Leader Barack as a serious threat. Glad to have you aboard, now start rowing.

Facts:  The Department of Homeland Security has become one of the biggest, most expensive and ineffective bureaucracies in our history. They are a de facto police force with little accountability and widespread authority to infringe on our Constitutional rights. Sending drones after Americans without trial, wiretaps without court orders, and snooping in on private email are all A-Okay under the Obama Administration, unless you happen to be a Chechen, bent on blowing people up. Then suddenly they’re all about privacy, the Bill of Rights, Miranda and baby pacifiers.

“Oh, there goes Joe again with his far-right, extremist views, getting the teabaggers all riled up against our wonderful President…” Oh yeah? How about we listen in on what Barack Obama said in a commencement address at Ohio State the other day:

“Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems. They’ll warn that tyranny is always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices. Because what they suggest is that our brave, and creative, and unique experiment in self-rule is somehow just a sham with which we can’t be trusted…”

Um, “can’t be trusted?” You got that right Benghazi breath. Now let’s hear from another President on the same subject:

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.” If you guessed Ronald Reagan, you win a cookie.

I guess the question is, what’s it going to take to really believe a soft tyranny is underway and the worst is yet to come? What happens when the IRS begins abusive tax audits to carry out vendettas against enemies of the Administration, suspension of habeas corpus, legislation making dissent a crime, or the willful lying about why Americans were murdered in Libya? If you said all of the above is already happening, you win another cookie.

Barack Obama has also openly spoke of a national police force, amnesty and citizenship for millions of Third World people, an end to oil drilling, coal mining and gas exploration, and the dismantling of our military under a phony “sequester”? His intentions are clear, friends. Clear as a speech in Las Vegas where Obama exclaimed; “we can’t wait for an increasingly dysfunctional Congress to do its job. Where they won’t act, I will.”

Add to that, the Administration buying millions of rounds of lethal ammunition and stocking up on weapons designed to kill people. They’re building a national police force which eventually will be bigger and more powerful than our military. Why?


Are we witnessing the decline of America? Explain the re-election of Barack Obama and you’ll probably come to the conclusion that the masses are voting en masse to take the other guy’s stuff – something the Founding Fathers warned about. As long as the guy who is giving you free stuff is in power, it becomes easier and easier to look the other way as he dictates away your rights, property and liberty.

All great civilizations have collapsed and there is always a tipping point. I believe we’re there, but a case can be made that our complacency can be swapped out for passion and turn this tide back. I saw it in 2010, but it only made the Administration more resolute.

They’re not messing around guys and gals.
