What Would the Founders Do?

Fourth AmendmentAs I was watching the police take to the streets in Watertown MA in search of a 19 year old punk-ass piece of shit terrorist, I wondered… Are these people just letting the cops in their homes?  Are they being told they have no choice? What if they refuse?

I then thought to myself, what would I do if some para-military guy showed up at my door and asked if they could clear the house?  I am pretty sure that my response would be, “Sir, I understand your concern and I want to be clear with you, I do not consent to a search of my property. I am sure that no unauthorized people are in my home. If you would like to post officers and go get a warrant, I will let you in at that time.”  I probably would have been tossed to the ground and arrested for some BS charge like interfering in a police investigation, or their favorite, dis-orderly conduct but it wouldn’t be the first time.

What would you do?  Even with all the TV coverage that was taking place… would you just open up the door and say have it?

Looking at Welcome to Hell Alert: Philly Advises Subjects On What To Do If Ordered To ‘Shelter In Place’ over at TheClashDaily, I thought it was something that needs to be discussed.  I doubt this will be the last time we see things like this happening and why aren’t people asking questions as to whether or not Law Enforcement acted properly that day in Watertown?
