GOD Now or GOD Later

obama_church_1109980aEver notice how quickly our leaders turn to God in times of tragedy? How many times after a tragedy occurs, do you see someone say; “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims’ families…”?

It’s almost standard fare, because our leaders understand the importance of going to GOD, especially in times  of disaster or great need. But I have a question:

Why is God good enough for our leaders, but not for our kids in schools? What about the idea that if we expose children to God going in, we wouldn’t have to pray for Him to show up later; after a terrible tragedy?

Yes, I know the left will scream about the separation of church and State, but instilling the word of God into school lessons for kids doesn’t mean someone is trying to impose a certain religion on children. If kids these days can be indoctrinated with every feel-good, politically-correct agenda from the left, then certainly introducing a few time-tested teachings of God might go a long way toward exacting some honesty, integrity, kindness, and yes, moral behavior for children to hear about and maybe even learn.

The Education system does not exist in a vacuum. It is and was intended to be a partnership between teachers, administrators and yes, parents. Advancing the cause that all religion or moral teachings should be left to take place only in the home is turning a blind eye to the realities of our contemporary world. Why wouldn’t we want everyone pushing for strong values to be infused into the minds of American kids before, during and after their impressionable ages?

78% of all Americans claim to be Christians, and over 90% claim to believe in a God, so the obvious question here is; what’s the problem? How do violent video games, explicit movies and TV shows, rap music – with language that would have gotten you headed out to retrieve a switch 20 years ago – get into the classroom, but prayers are banned?

Make no mistake, there is a small group of determined folks who wish to eradicate every hint of religion or God from the ears of young children, but they do not have theirs or our best interests in mind. The relationship between getting rid of God and what is going on with our kids, seems like a no-brainer to me. I don’t know how the case can be made that kids are smarter, more kind, happier, less violent, and better behaved now than they were in the early 60’s when this insanity started.

In America our public schools are intended to be religiously neutral, so what do I have in mind? Changing some laws or passing some new ones? Not hardly – man made laws don’t change problems of this magnitude anyway. I’m talking about trying to change what lies in the heart of a child. What if we introduce silly things like,

  • Honor Thy Mother and Father

  • Thou shalt not kill

  • Thou shalt not steal

  • Thou shalt not commit Adultery

  • Thou shalt not lie

  • Thou shalt not covet

I hope it doesn’t take 50 years to turn this ship around, but on the other hand I don’t really care how long it takes, I’m in.

This is Joe the Plumber Wurzlebacher and I believe in this message.

Indeed, there will be a ‘payday someday’. The sad statistics will show how many are decieved as this nation is led by wolves in sheeps’ clothing. God’s Word reveals to us the consequences of a nation who turns their backs on Him. Sodom is a picture of the very way our nation is turning towards and we have learned NOTHING from their results. However, I choose to follow God’s way and turn away from the things that harm or destroy. God help a nation that exalts sin and do those things that are abhorant in His sight.

78% of all Americans claim to be Christians, and over 90% claim to believe in a God, so what’s the problem? The problem is that Americans may claim to be Christians….but they make a mockery of their own words in their lifestyle. People can claim to be anything they choose, but the proof is in the pudding!

The Bible was taken out of schools and religion is under attack. The liberal progressives have implemented most of what is in the following fascist manifesto.
1). Invoke a threat 2). Establish secret prisons. 3). Develop paramilitary force. 4). surveil ordinary citizens. 5). Infiltrate citizen groups. 6). Arbitrarily detain citizens. 7). Target key individuals. 8). restrict the press. 9). Cast dissent as treason. 10). Subvert the rule of law. 11). Disarm the citizen

America had better wake up. We need you, Joe. Don’t let up.

  5. Dale Smith says

While there is truth in your concern that, apart from teaching morality in public schools, our society will (and has) shown disdainful disregard for human life and property, your truncated 6 Commandments do not help much. The 10 Commandments begin with the prologue “I am the Lord who brought you out of Egypt.” This morality is not something that someone dreamed up. It is based on a God-In-Space-and-Time theology. Until the first 4 Commandments (the First Table of the Law) are established, then Second Table will have little impact on society.
In other words, until Christians preach, believe and practice their faith and its implications, their “commandments” will be seen to be simply window dressing. Although the Second Table of the Law has universal application, they cannot be substantiated apart from their historical link. Otherwise, someone will say, “Oh, does your god forbid sexuality and murder? Mine doesn’t.” Apart from the fact that the Law was written by the finger of God, there is no basis or adhering to and practicing any of them.

I’ve been saying for years now. When I was in school, we were taught that it was wrong to steal, cheat, lie, etc. And, if you got caught, you got punished. I went to school in the north, so no spanking allowed, but a trip to the principal’s office, or standing in a corner, was as bad. And, even worse was, that EVERY body in the school knew about it, so you also had to deal with embarrassment. We learned there were consequences to bad behavior, just as there were rewards for good behavior. These morals have nothing to do with ‘religion’. In fact, God was never mentioned, except when we said the Pledge of Allegiance. And, I NEVER heard of ANY mass murders, or teachers molesting students, or students killing their teachers, or committing suicide, etc.

You said, “instilling the word of God into school lessons for kids doesn’t mean someone is trying to impose a certain religion on children.” Then your specified solution was to state we should teach some of the 10 Commandments. How is that not imposing a certain religion on children?

Additionally, from a theological perspective, although I agree that God is a necessary part of children’s education, I don’t agree that some watered-down universalist version of God meant to appeal to all religions is a good message for kids to hear. If we believe that true salvation and transformation comes through the blood of Christ, then we need to stay away from teaching that only good morals is necessary to be a good person. Indeed, the Pharisees had the best when it came to moral education, yet their hearts were corrupt and cruel.

I wonder why my last post of a minute ago isn’t showing, hmmm, think somebody doesn’t want my opinions in print?? Joe, I’m all for you and your message, why is God good for those high-fallutin’ people in washington but not for our children in schools? Keep up your messages Joe, someday someone will finally hear what you and I and the rest of us are saying and something might just get done to bring our Lord back to our country and save us from the evil that is infesting our White House and Senate. Pray for it.

I believe in your message also Joe, keep it up and don’t stop, ever. I’ve been calling and e-mailing my congressmen/women and senators at least once or twice a week and I will not stop until obama is put away for good and out of our White House, to never ever come back. It’s going to take all of our messages to them to finally get them to listen but I’m willing to keep it up, are they???

I’m tempted to say our politicians are ALL hypocrites but I can’t. I know Michele Backman is for real and a few others but certainly NOT the majority. For those in the majority that view themselves as “god” they don’t want competition with the REAL God so they pretend to acknowledge Him and DENY you public access.

The only positive thing I can see about the stupidity of forcing God out of everything is the stupidity of those doing it. If they would look at history (something they also want to change), they would see that when Christians are persecuted, their faith increases. In Acts, when Christians were persecuted, Christianity exploded.

  16. dacorvi says

The problem is even though 78% of Americans claim to be Christians, the actual percent of Americans that are Christians is far smaller. People think if you believe in God, belong to a church, or are a “good person” then you are a Christian. If they delved into what God’s word says they would find out that belonging to any church or religion does nothing to sway God’s approval. Only those that “are born again” have the Spirit of God living within them. Because of this, they have experienced the new life in the savior Jesus Christ. It’s a simple thing but the vast majority of human beings have and will reject it. That is why the Word of God says “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.”
But leading up to that verse is some encouraging news: Matt, 7: 7“Ask, and it will be
given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.8“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.9“Or what man is there
among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?10“Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?11“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

    More? OK!
Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 5:8 “God demonstrates His own love for us, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us!”
Romans 10:13 “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved!”
Romans 10:9,10 “…If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
Revelation 3:20a “Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him…”
and finally…. John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten so, that whosever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Joe, your about55 years to late, maybe even longer. The anti christ public school system has had primary control over every child in the system. They indoctrinate the children about 6 hours a day. How much priority time do you think our parents and churches have to counter act against their ungodly/secular teaching? Even if said parents are trying to do it. We our loosing our children to the anti christ.

  18. lfhpueblo says

I don’t think the majority of them truly have a personal relationship with God because they’ve never come to the Father through the Son, The Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah in the first place. So all their prayers are meaningless in the first place, it’s just political spill. You can’t tell me anyone who is saved would be pushing for a New World Order, or For Israel to be giving up any lands at all. They don’t know the real God, they are probably listening to the deception of the Luciferian breeder of the Nephalim.

    1. felix1999 says

  20. deacon6six6 says

Religion should be treated like a pen!s; it’s fine to have one, it’s fine to be proud of it, but you don’t need to go waving it around in public and definitely don’t need to try to shove it down children’s throats.

    1. Sharon Jeanguenat says

Nobody’s talking about religion. When they kicked prayer out of school, they also stopped teachers from teaching MORALS. Unless you went to a private school run by a church, religion was never mentioned, at least when I went to school. And, your attitude is part of the morality problem in this country.

    1. Rosie46 says

It is the government’s way to nullify parental and Christian values in order to control the minds of our children. Children who are indoctrinated by the current progressive “education” will be willing to be slaves of the state. Obama is escalating the march to one-world government through control, creating a police state, and coopting our children and a majority of those who will vote for him because the government is taking care of them. Moral and ethical values have been demeaned and defeated through the leadership of our government. Only turning back to God will save this country.

  22. Colleen Wampler Schaming says

I really love you, Joe. From the moment I saw you display such fortitude and honesty in first confronting Obama and exposing him for who he Iis. You did and do your part. On the good side, some people are beginning to wake up. The big issues turning the Obama supporters around are Obamacare realities, gun control, and his handling of economy showing he lied over and over about taxes for middle class and the insurance premium rates and people losing their healthcare thru their current employer.

If we look to cultures which deny the existence of God we can see how they turn out. I love science and always did, but always knew there was a higher power watching over me and have been saved from death many times by that higher power. Having read the article I strongly agree that the lefties have made it clear that they protect the rights of every other religious interest and denigrate and belittle Christians. I almost wish God would smack a few of Anti-Christian lefties around and teach them a lesson. Don’t You?

It may yet come. We do not know the day or time, but it will eventually happen. The ones who have brought it on us as well as we who did nothing to stop it, either from indifference or fear, will all suffer.
