NFL Now Braces For The Fallout From Marshawn Lynch Protest!

0

As if one idiot wasn’t enough in the NFL, Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch sat during the National Anthem during the preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.  Either Lynch is making too much money and doesn’t need a job with the Raiders or he feels he’s made enough money already that he doesn’t need his sponsors any more. It will be interesting to see what the fallout will be on the NFL and his sponsors.

Of course, we all know last year San Francisco’s Colin Kaepernick protested the national anthems and took a knee. We also know, this year Kaepernick is still unemployed and without a team. Teams don’t want to touch this idiot for fear of the backlash of their fans and losing profits. To show their disapproval, the NFL viewership was down last year 8% or over 1.4 million less viewers. Don’t tell me that doesn’t hurt a little in the owners’ pocketbooks.

According to NFL.com Raiders coach Jack Del Rio says he didn’t know about Lynch’s plans ahead of the game. He also was quoted as saying,

“On Marshawn, talked to Marshawn trying to make sure we’re on the same page. He said, ‘This is something I’ve done for 11 years. It’s not a form of anything other than me being myself.’ I said, ‘So you understand how I feel, I very strongly believe in standing for the national anthem. But I’m going to respect you as a man, you do your thing. We’ll do ours.’ It’s a non-issue for me.”

Seriously! That’s called CYB….cover your butt! Raiders coach Jack Del Rio evidently needs a running back more than he needs fans. You can’t tell me this coach didn’t have an inkling about Lynch and where he stood.

First, for Lynch to say…”this is something I’ve done for 11 years”…THAT is NOT necessarily accurate. There are photos across social media showing Lynch standing during any national anthem.  Of course, even though he’s standing, he’s doing OTHER inappropriate things with his hands….like grabbing his crotch. Which is a total taunting reference and an inappropriate gesture to the flag and soldiers who defend our nation. What a moron!

Lynch previously backed Kaepernick, telling comedian Conan O’Brien in September 2016, “I’d rather see him take a knee than stand up, put his hands up and get murdered.” Like I said, what a moron…and an overpaid one at that!

Is THIS really who Pepsi, Skittles, Nike, Microsoft and Activision want representing their products? Give me a break!

If Marshawn Lynch wants to kneel during the national anthem, that’s his problem. But that decision is ON HIM! When he loses all his sponsors due to his own stupidity, Lynch needs to own that! When he gets cut and other teams don’t pick him up, like Kap, then THAT’S HIS fault, no one else’s.

There are consequences to his actions. Fans will react. Can the NFL really afford less viewership after last year?

Maybe the Oakland Raiders’ Marshawn Lynch would prefer to continue sitting on the cooler all season long with his little banana? Yeah, I guess that’s the REAL side of his not so ‘Best Mode’!  Pathetic!

As Allen West said to Kap in his ‘open letter’,

“First of all, let me clarify to you sir, you are a multi-millionaire “one-percenter” just because you can throw a ball and kiss your biceps. Men like Jesse Owens, Jackie Robinson, Hank Aaron, Oscar Robertson, Ernie Davis, and Bernard King and Condredge Halloway of my alma mater were athletes who knew of oppression. You sir may certainly have the right to sit upon your “fourth point of contact” when the National Anthem is played but never forget, you live in a nation that has provided you the privilege to have that right.”
