Chelsea Clinton, well known for forgetting her parent’s history, got a huge smack-down on social media when she weighed in on President Trump’s change in military policy concerning transgenders.
She keeps tweeting and getting well-deserved scorched-earth smackdowns.
Little did Chelsea know that she herself was about to be scorched, after claiming Trump has “consistently failed” to support equal rights for the LGBT community:
No. President Trump has consistently failed to support LGBT equal rights, dignity & safety in the U.S. & around world (e.g. Chechnya/Russia) https://t.co/nXY5uYjz4S

Twitter users flocked to reply to her Tweet, reminding her of her own parent’s record on LGBT issues.
First up for Chelsea, a history lesson from a Navy vet:
Trump was for gay marriage back when Daddy was signing DOMA an Mom insisted "it's a sacred bond between a man and woman." #SpinFail

Don't Ask Don't Tell was under your father's term.
Your mother and father both felt that marriage was between a man and a woman.

Ryan delivered another history lesson:
How much money do you suppose your family has taken from countries who execute gay people? Rough estimate is fine.
— Velvet Froman (@TMIWITW) July 26, 2017
As Fox News reported in June, the Clinton Foundation has raked in millions of dollars from countries that imprison gays, and worse. The reaction from Chelsea and her liberal pals? Cue the crickets.

And my personal favorite:
I'm old, so I still remember when Hillary was asked what she thought of gay marriage,
She declared "marriage is between a man and a woman".

Chelsea has a short memory on the far reaching history of her parents and LGBT issues.
During her first run for president in 2008, Hillary Clinton had an opportunity to become an undisputed leader in the gay rights movement.
In December 1999, Clinton told a group of gay contributors at a fundraiser that she was against the “don’t ask, don’t tell” military policy signed by her husband.
Bill Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act into law in 1996.
Bill also said that gays could join the military if they kept it secret. Gay-rights advocates rip Clinton for not going far enough.
Bill Clinton also said, “I remain opposed to same-sex marriage. I believe marriage is an institution for the union of a man and a woman. This has been my long-standing position, and it is not being reviewed or considered.”
Hillary Clinton wasn’t advocating for the right for gay people to marry when it mattered. That’s what the gay rights group, Log Cabin Republicans, is saying.
A video released by the group shows clips of Clinton opposing same-sex marriage when she was a senator from New York.
Clinton regularly touted her support for LGBT rights during the campaign.
LCR president Gregory T. Angelo said in a statement:
The furious liberal reaction to our new video underlines precisely why Log Cabin Republicans felt it necessary to call attention to Hillary Clinton’s hypocrisy on LGBT equality. Democrats and members of the LGBT community continue to allow Clinton to run on her dismal marriage equality record with a straight face. Consider the instinctual left-wing response when confronted with the facts presented in our video: Liberals defended Clinton’s flawed record, excused her behavior, and attacked conservatives in desperate attempts to deflect criticism. The fact is, Clinton was wrong on gay rights when it mattered. Log Cabin Republicans is determined to hold her accountable.
On the day that the U.S. Supreme Court was poised to hear oral arguments about same-sex marriage April 28, Hillary Clinton changed her “H” logo to rainbow-colored and tweeted: “Every loving couple & family deserves to be recognized & treated equally under the law across our nation. #LoveMustWin #LoveCantWait.”
Politi-Fact put Clinton’s statements about same-sex marriage on our Flip-O-Meter, which measures whether a candidate has changed their views without making a value judgment about such flips. We found that as public opinion shifted toward support for same-sex marriage, so did Clinton.
She got a full Flip-Flop!
She has had plenty of company among members of her own party to change their stance on same-sex marriage. In 2012, we gave Obama a Full Flop when he announced his support for same-sex marriage.
Chelsea should really take a step back before she posts some of these Tweets, They are beginning to make her look either stupid, or like an out-right liar!
But Chelsea may have one protection that these other female Trump critics, including her mother, don’t have.
That’s her reported New York high-society friendship with Trump’s favorite child, daughter Ivanka Trump. If the president is aware of Chelsea’s criticisms of him — including of his tendency to unleash early morning tweet storms to set the daily news agenda — and he has refrained from launching a Twitter feud with her, it could be out of deference to his daughter.
