A protester has been arrested after making a threatening ‘joke’ to an Arizona Republican Senator about the Congressional baseball shooting.
Mark Prichard was arrested by police after making an intimidating remarks towards Senator Jeff Flake at a healthcare-related protest which was going on outside his Tucson, Arizona, Thursday morning.
The comment was made in mention to the Congressional baseball shooting in Virginia where James Hodgkinson shot several rounds at several lawmakers on June 14th.
Among the several injured in the shooting was House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, who was hit in the hip. He recently had to be readmitted to the ICU on Wednesday where he is in serious condition.
Prichard is facing a infraction charge of threats and aggression and was also charged with third-degree criminal trespass.
Prichard was participating in a small protest outside the senator’s office when he supposedly made the threatening remarks towards the Senators.
According to on staff member who overheard Prichard, he said: ‘You know how liberals are going to solve the Republican problem? They are going to get better aim.
‘That last guy tried, but he needed better aim. We will get better aim.’
The staff member immediately became concerned for Flake and his coworkers’ safety so the office doors were locked and the local authorities were alerted.
Officers arrived to the scene and told Prichard he was not allowed on the property but he violated their demand, prompting his arrest.
He was later charged with threats and intimidation, both of which are class one misdemeanors, according to ABC 13.
Prichard’s comments made reference to the Congressional baseball shooting that took place on June 14.
James T. Hodgkinson, 66, from Belleville, Illinois, was the gunman who was killed by cops after firing up to 100 rounds from an assault rifle at a baseball park in Alexandria, Virginia.
He shot and injured lobbyist for Tyson Foods, Matt Mika, a Capitol Hill staffer, Zack Barth, and two Capitol Police officers, David Bailey and Crystal Griner.
Hodgkinson hit Scalise in the hip and the lawmaker had to be flown in to the hospital, in critical condition.
Those who were there to see the shooting said that Scalise had lay bleeding for many minutes before anyone was able to get to him and administer any type of medical attention because of the active shooter situation.
Ohio Republican Rep. Brad Robert Wenstrup said that he attempted to help Scalise by getting control of the blood flow coming from off the external wound, but wasn’t aware that his internal injuries were so severe, and his internal blood loss so grievous, that he was on the verge of death.
There seems to be a trend happening here. The violence that the left is writing off, IS coming from their side. This shouldn’t be a shocker as throughout history, the left has propagated most of the violence when it comes to politics, protests and wars.
