The 2nd amendment. Guns, and the rights Americans have to own them have got to be at the top of the list for hot topic issues in the country. For many, the issue is not an issue at all. A right is a right, and the 2nd Amendment is the end of the discussion – I happen to be one of those people.
There are many different aspects to the look at, for the purpose and need for firearms in today’s America, so lets dive into one particular story where a good guy with a gun, was able thwart the murders of two baby twins.
A hero used his gun to shoot and kill his lunatic neighbor who was holding a knife, attempting to drown his own three-month-old twins.
Cash Freeman was the man who fired upon Leland Michael Foster, 27, striking him twice in Ada, Oklahoma, killing Foster while he was threatening his wife with a knife, and simultaneously trying to drown his three month old twins in a bath tub.
The infant boy and girl were both born prematurely, and had to be sent to the hospital following the ordeal, but have been treated and released.
The shooting went down in the middle of the day on Friday, when a frenzied woman called police. She said the father of her three-month-old twins had a knife and was trying to drown their infant twins.
The woman said that Foster screamed at her that he would kill her. During the dispatcher call, screaming and struggling could be heard taking place on the other side of the line.
As police were racing to the scene, a 12-year-old granddaughter who lived in the home, ran to the neighbors house and begging for help.
So that when Cash Freeman armed himself with a revolver rushed over to help. When he entered the home, he cam upon foster attempting to drown his infant children, and swinging a knife around to keep his wife at bay…
It took Freeman two shots, and Foster hit he floor dead.
The Daily Mail:
He was interviewed and released by cops at the scene, but prosecutors will review the circumstances to ensure that the shooting was justified. Police confirmed that Foster was the father of the twins. The infants were air-lifted to a hospital in Oklahoma City and released on Saturday.
‘It’s awful because I’ve held the babies and, like, I’ve played with them and I just gave them clothes yesterday,’ neighbor Summer Pierce told KFOR.
Foster has prior criminal charges for arson and domestic abuse by strangulation, according to court records. In 2011, officers responding to Foster’s home on a domestic abuse complaint found a pile of clothes burning on a mattress, and a bathtub filled with water and electronics including a computer and gaming system, NewsOK reported.
If it wasn’t for this neighbor and him exercising his right to bare arms, the outcome would have been tragic.
