Rosie O’Donnell & Rep. Jason Chaffetz Now At War Over THIS!

0

Rosie O’Donnell is known for her high profile feud with President Trump. They have traded barbs for over a decade. While people blame the President, her actions show it is more her fault than his. Now she is going head-to-head with Oversight Committee Chairman, Jason Chaffetz.

O’Donnell will be supporting Democrat Kathryn Allen who will be challenging Rep. Chaffetz for his congressional seat next year. She has inserted herself into this fight despite not being a resident of Utah. Allen has already filed to run against him.  O’Donnell has already preemptively donated the maximum amount allowable to her campaign.

Rep. Chaffetz chairs the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform. In a recent fundraising email, Rep. Chaffetz hit back at the entertainment personality and said,

Rosie O’Donnell, (yes, Rosie O’Donnell) just maxed out my Democrat opponent and is tweeting to all of her liberal followers to do the same. I need your help to fight back.Rosie O’Donnell is just the beginning. Many more liberal Democrats will most likely follow her in supporting my opponent and working to see me defeated. In order to stay fighting for our traditional values and shared conservative beliefs in Washington — I must win my re-election campaign.”

Allen’s Crowdpac has already brought in $458,000. O’Donnell told Mic the following about a Democrat winning a conservative district,

“We have to make it about truth. People are waking. It may take a revolution.”

O’Donnell said she will also look to max out donations for people who are anti-Donald Trump. Allen responded to the recent attention she has garnered saying,

Chaffetz is so despised that I actually have national figures who run national campaigns donating services to me. So we won’t be spending that money right away. We’re going to be very judicious. Rachel and Rosie — they gave my campaign legitimacy. I don’t know how to thank them.”

Despite any Hollywood support that she gets it won’t change how constituents in her district feel. She can’t buy support, especially when the majority of campaign contributions will be from out-of-staters. This will do nothing to help her win her election, considering the conservative leanings of the district this could in fact backfire. Conservatives will hate the Hollywood elite getting involved.
