London was hit by a terrorist attack this week that killed several and injured dozens more. The perpetrator took a truck and plowed through a crowd of people as has been done before in places like Germany and France. While little is known about why this attack took place that will quickly change. ISIS has officially claimed responsibility for the attack.
ISIS said the following in a statement,
“The perpetrator of the attacks yesterday in front of the British Parliament in London is an Islamic State solider and he carried out the operation in response to calls to target citizens of the coalition.”
The perpetrator is dead and was on the scene of the crime. Eight different people have been arrested in connection with this case.
British Prime Minister Theresa May said the following in response to the attack,
“An act of terrorism tried to silence our democracy, but today we meet as normal … we are not afraid and our resolve will never waver in the face of terrorism. Democracy and the values it entails will always prevail.”
The perpetrator was killed by police after stabbing one of them and driving his rented SUV into the crossing of he Westminster Bridge where people can enter the grounds of the Houses of Parliament.

Prime Minister May told reporters the perpetrator acted alone and not with anyone else. Furthermore, that he was born in the United Kingdom but investigated by intelligence officials for potential ties with radical Islamic terrorists. However, nothing ever came of the investigations. She stood strong and denounced these acts of hate and cowardice used to try and silence us.
The threat of radical Islamic terrorism is real and if it can come to the doorstep of our allies then it certainly can come to ours. It is during these difficult times we need each other as allies more than anything else. In order to get justice we must first call our enemies what they are, radical Islamic terrorists.
