Trump Pays Tribute To SLAIN Navy Seal HERO, Then Entire Room Does Something Unexpected To Widow

President Donald Trump cares very deeply for the men and women who serve in our military. Trump honored one particular brave serviceman during his Joint Session address to Congress on February 28th.

During his address, President Trump asked Congress to come together and work to rebuild the nation. Honoring fallen soldier Ryan Owens was the ticket to break through the discord on the Congress floor.

Both sides of the aisle gave the fallen Navy SEAL Ryan Owens and his grieving widow a round of applause honoring his sacrifice.
Trump gave reverence to the memory of Ryan Owens, who gave his life in a firefight in Yemen.

President Trump said this about Owens,

None are greater or braver than those who fight for America in uniform.  We are blessed to be joined tonight by Carryn Owens, the widow of a U.S. Navy Special Operator, Senior Chief William ‘Ryan’ Owens.

Trump added,

Ryan died as he lived: a warrior, and a hero – battling against terrorism and securing our nation.”

As lawmakers stood to clap for Carryn Owens, who wore black, she fought back tears and looked to the heavens. Both parties joined in a very emotional and historic minute long standing ovation.  Ivanka Trump sat next to her and patted her on the shoulder in support.

Trump went on to say,

Ryan’s legacy is etched into eternity. For as the Bible teaches us, there is no greater act of love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. Ryan laid down his life for his friends, for his country, and for our freedom –- we will never forget Ryan.”

When Trump was done he lightened the mood with a little respectful humor,

“I think he’s (Ryan’s) very happy now because I think he just broke a record,’ in reference to the applause. Trump also took the opportunity to further honor Ryan’s death by publicly declaring the raid a “success.”

Trump stated,

“I just spoke to General Mattis, who reconfirmed that, and I quote, ‘Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemies’.”
