Well, we all knew Trump was wiretapped didn’t we? Maybe we didn’t know who ordered it…ok we did, but we didn’t know when it happened or for how long? Looks like we do now. But would you really believe the government, if they told you it ended? How do we really know, especially if all the equipment was still there to continue the wiretapping and they could still listen in? Let’s face it, we’ve all seen enough episodes of Showtime’s Homeland…to know even CIA agent, Carrie Mathison, listened in when she wasn’t suppose to.
Following Monday’s hearing, the mainstream media appeared to celebrate Comey’s statement that there was no evidence of wiretapping at Trump Tower. Politicians, too, piled on — including some Republicans, like Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ), who demanded that Trump apologize to Obama.
However, the only new revelation at the hearing was that senior members of the Obama administration may have been involved in “unmasking” former General Michael Flynn in intelligence reports. When it comes to Democrats, they don’t really care that that’s illegal. Guess that proves,Trump was right afterall, wasn’t he?
H/T Western Journalism:
Trump Tower was in fact wiretapped by the FBI to monitor the Russians, but the wiretap ended well before the presidential election and President Donald Trump was not the target.
ABC News reported Tuesday that a wiretap was initiated after getting a court approved warrant to monitor a Russian crime syndicate that was a leaseholder in the building.
The wiretap lasted for two years, ending in 2013, during President Barack Obama’s second term.
“The FBI investigation led to a federal grand jury indictment of more than 30 people, including one of the world’s most notorious Russian mafia bosses, Alimzhan Tokhtakhounov. Known as the ‘Little Taiwanese,’ Tokhtakhounov was the only target to slip away, and he remains a fugitive from American justice,” according to ABC News.
Tokhtakhounov was allegedly running a money laundering and gambling scheme out of Trump Tower’s unit 63A.
“Everything was moving in and out of there,” former FBI official Rich Frankel said.
“He would have people come in and meet with them. He would use the phones. He would also communicate, whether it was through e-mail or other communications through there,” Frankel said of Trincher.
Tokhtakhounov’s base of operations was Trump Tower.
According to Circa, the FBI also briefly monitored a computer server in Trump Tower last October as part of an FBI investigation into Russian efforts to influence the election.
“The brief counter-intelligence operation yielded no evidence of criminal activity by anyone on Team Trump,” the news outlet reported based on multiple sources within the bureau.
OK, SERIOUSLY? If the government told you that the FBI monitored the Trump Tower server, but “agents didn’t listen in on any of Trump’s phone calls or emails” would you REALLY believe them? What if they told you they stopped listening in 2013, would you still believe them? Even after all the information that WikiLeaks has shared with us, that anyone can MAKE it look like anyone else listened in on any conversation, from anywhere, you actually still believe the government is telling the truth?
Seems to me Obama and the Democrats probably could have set up the wiretapping on Trump, when they learned through rumors he was thinking of running for office, then found an excuse or “alibi” to wiretap his building and tap into his server, just in case they got caught and needed a “legitimate” reason. Well, here we are. They got caught. Once again…it was because of the Russians? SERIOUSLY? How many times are you going to fall for this?
How many Americans are really buying into this? Let us know in the comments what you think.
Wednesday’s revelations by Rep. Nunes confirm earlier media reports of surveillance of Trump aides and associates, with the added twist that the revelations were unrelated to investigations of Russian ties to the Trump campaign.
We knew that already! My guess is Obama is golfing somewhere and…
….the joke’s on us.
Afterall, wasn’t it Obama who prior to leaving office signed an executive order which allowed the National Security Agency to share raw surveillance data with all 16 of the United States government’s intelligence groups, including the Central Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Department of Homeland Security and Drug Enforcement Administration which actually put large amounts of private citizens’ information at risk?
