Wife Mourning Fallen Green Beret in Viral Video is Hailed as ‘Patriot’!

Trump promised the American people as president, he would rebuild our military. Unlike Obama, President Trump has the utmost respect when it comes to not only restoring, but honoring our military. In fact, Trump showed that respect recently when he flew unnanounced as commander-in-chielf with his daughter, Ivanka, to Delaware’s Dover Air Base to honor the returning remains of US Navy SEAL, Chief Special Warfare Operator William “Ryan” Owens, 36, who was killed in a raid in Yemen in early February.

But on Tuesday, there was another special flight that honored another fallen hero, but this flight was different. The passengers on this commercial flight witnessed a very sad and heartbreaking moment for a mourning wife of a recently fallen Green Beret.  The video of this military wife captured mourning her fallen Green Beret husband has gone viral.

Passengers on a flight into Raleigh, North Carolina were left in tears as they witnessed a heartbreaking moment for a military family.  They were asked to let someone off of the plane first.  The casket containing the body of Green Beret Warrant Officer Shawn Thomas was brought out of the plane to an honor guard.

Soldiers unloaded a flag-draped coffin from the plane’s cargo area and then T.J. Thomas, the wife of Officer Shawn Thomas, stepped off the plane to grieve the loss of her husband.

It was an honor to fly home with this PATRIOT! God bless his wife and family. There was not a dry eye around me,” Lisa Williams wrote on a Facebook post. She said the plane remained silent as passengers started to cry.

His widow, T.J. Thomas and other family members were given a moment to touch the casket and grieve.  Besides his wife, Thomas left behind 4 children.

Seven Green Beret soldiers later loaded the coffin into a black hearse and paid their respects, while the pilot thanked passengers for waiting.

Thomas – a 35-year-old who had been deployed in Niger to help train local troops and residents in the fight against terrorism – died in a non-vehicle combat crash on Feb. 2, according to the Army Times.

He had been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan seven times and earned two Bronze stars, four Good Conduct Medals and was posthumously awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and Army Commendation Medal for his work in central Africa, the Army Times reported. He was stationed at Fort Bragg.

He was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia and is survived by his wife and four children, Fox 5 reported.

Here’s the video that has received over 5 million views on Lisa’s Facebook:

To Lisa Williams and her four children, our hearts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. May peace be with you. God Bless you and your family.

There are no words that can take the place of Green Beret WO Shawn Thomas or the many others who have given their lives to defend America’s freedom throughout history. Freedom is never free.

However, as Americans, we can once again be proud, that President Trump will restore the honor and respect of our military and properly respect and honor all those who give their lives to defend the freedoms we cherish in America.

God Bless all our troops and thank you for serving our country. We are honored by your service.
