The Obama administration used fraudulent data from the National Climactic Data Center to make a claim that “climate change” is happening. Once again, government-funded “scientists” paid by U.S. taxpayers are caught lying.
The report in question was used by the Obama administration at the Paris Climate Conference were nations around the world committed to spending billions of dollars on the idea that man-made climate change is real.
Thomas Karl, who was director of NOAA in 2015 authored a “scientific” paper that sought to discredit the notion of an obvious slowdown in “global warming.” He said, “Our new analysis suggests that the apparent hiatus [in warming]may have been largely the result of limitations and past data sets and that the rate of warming over the first 15 years of this century has, in fact, been as fast or faster than seen over the last half of the 20th century.”
A scientific whistleblower from NOAA is claiming that Karl’s report is a fraud. He points out that the report was rushed to publication to influence the debate in Paris. The whistleblower’s claim is that significant; high-quality data was eliminated from the data set because it didn’t agree with the conclusion that the government scientists wanted to reach.
NOAA is of course “standing behind its world-class scientists” but also says they are reviewing the matter “appropriately.” I’ve got a pretty good idea what “appropriately” means. It means that they’re going to bury this so they can continue to get government funding. Needless to say, “climate scientists” from around the world are standing behind the fraudulent Karl. After all, their livelihoods are at stake, as well they should be.
Scientific hacks like Thomas Karl were not only safe and the Obama administration, they were recruited. Not so much in the Trump administration. Thankfully, President Donald Trump is skeptical – to say the least – of the idea that “global warming” is a major problem. On the campaign trail, he threatened to cut off funds and based on the continued whistleblower claims of fraudulent science that’s exactly what he should do. He should also put the world on notice that any agreements made by the Obama administration at the Paris climate talks are off the table.
