Yesterday at Trump’s news conference, President-elect Trump let a few of the MSM know he was not happy with their reporting. He was not going to tolerate it anymore. He gave the CNN and BuzzFeed reporters a piece of his mind. Afterwhich, many Americans cheered, as we’ve been waiting for someone with the balls to do that for awhile now. Isn’t it refreshing to see someone finally ‘say it like it is’?
Since Donald Trump began running for office, he has put much of his news and comments on Twitter. And why not? Wouldn’t you too if you knew that the MSM couldn’t be trusted to ‘tell it like it is’?
Look for President Trump to change the face of the WH Press Conferences and WH Press Briefings. After 8 years of freezing out the conservative news reporters, the MSM is going to have to deal with it. Social Media is the new king of news and Donald Trump’s presidency is a Twitter presidency.
Some Americans might say President-elect Trump has mastered his way around the MSM to report the real news himself through the use of Twitter. Others might say Trump has a direct pipeline to report the real news to the public and the MSM is going to have to deal with it – 140 characters at a time.
Twitter is not new. In fact President Obama used it when he was running for office, but I bet you can’t remember a single one of his tweets. Trump on the other hand, it’s a whole new story.
Some of Trump’s past Tweets:
“.@ariannahuff is unattractive both inside and out. I fully understand why her former husband left her for a man- he made a good decision.” – 11:54 AM, August 28 2012
“Sorry losers and haters, but my I.Q. is one of the highest -and you all know it! Please don’t feel so stupid or insecure,it’s not your fault” – 10:37 PM, May 8 2013
…and Trump’s more recently Tweets:
The media is spending more time doing a forensic analysis of Melania’s speech than the FBI spent on Hillary’s emails.
Trump’s Twitter Presidency enters at at time in America where people are really fed up with politics, political correctness and the inability of politicians to do what they were elected to do. Trump’s uncensored and unfiltered blunt spoken messages is one trait that got him elected. Americans find it refreshing – it’s as if they said “finally someone who says it like it is”. When’s the last time you heard news like that through the MSM?
I like what Bryan Crabtree had from Townhall had to say:
Human beings in general loathe change. And the media “humans” are not accustomed to being bypassed in terms of access to the White House. They’re either going to have to learn how to use Twitter, or they will be left behind. To continue to complain and predict failure as a result of Trump’s “tweeting” will result in a predictable outcome. They’ll be as irrelevant as were their predictions of who would win the presidency.
Not only can we survive a Twitter presidency, it will finally bring the needed advances with regard to America’s political discussion and enlightenment. For too long the mainstream media has controlled what you and I get to know. For years, “the truth” has been a very cloudy proposition.
FDR had his “fireside chats”, JFK had his TV, and DT has Twitter. Times change. Get with the program. The Twitter Presidency begins on January 20th – 140 characters at a time – for better or worse. Deal with it.
Hopefully, all supporters, and those who want to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN, will go to D.C. on January 20th. It will be a GREAT SHOW!
Can we survive a Twitter presidency? ….ABSOLUTELY!!!
