If you’re not following what’s going on, on the campuses of colleges and universities around you, shame on you. College used to be an experience of real growth for young people, where they learn to think outside their element and learn new things. Those days are over, and as a taxpayer you’re picking up the tab.
What college is producing today are sheltered, bubble wrapped, little snowflakes who feel as though they need to be protected from everything that doesn’t fit into their idea of what the world should look like.
In order to protect these little snowflakes, colleges all over the country, and the colleges near you that your tax dollars pay for, are being sheltered by more and more highly paid administrators.
In the mid-90s, in the University of California system, the ratio of faculty to administrators was 3 to 1. Three faculty members for each administrator. In just 20 years that ratio has changed to more than one administrator for each faculty member.
And who are all these administrators? People like Sean Huddleston, who is the “Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer” at Framingham State University in Massachusetts. The taxpayers in Massachusetts pay his salary.
Here’s an email that Huddleston sent to Framingham State students following a “bias report.”
A student reported a bias incident today, in which the image of the Confederate flag was displayed on a laptop. Many of you may be aware that last month we received a Bias Incident involving two other students for a similar issue. Although related in nature, the two incidents involve separate parties.
The FSU Bias Protocol and Response Team has been made aware of the incident, and will meet to determine any measures that may be needed to respond to the incident. Our primary goal continues to be to expeditiously address and resolve incidents of bias that impede our progress toward a welcoming and inclusive campus community.
That’s right, the image of the Confederate flag caused such a flap at Framingham State University that Huddleston actually went on to say, “It is strongly suggested that anyone impacted by a bias incident find someone to speak with.” In other words, “we feel your pain Snowflake, get counseling.”
That incident was a Confederate flag. College students are also being damaged at the sight of the American flag.
Reflect on this, that little Snowflake is majoring in American history and wants to teach your grandchildren all about America.
I suspect that little Snowflake, whose parents are forking out about $300,000 for a Bachelor’s degree, probably needed intensive counseling after Tucker got through with him. I also suspect he’s never held a job.
That video is on YouTube and the first commentor had this classic response:
“… I’m starting to think we should keep the undocumented immigrants and deport these lunatic liberals.”
I think that sums college up quite nicely.
