It’s almost 2 months until President-elect Donald Trump becomes president. Soon the Democrats will have to deal with a Republican majority in the House, Senate and a Republican president. That hasn’t happened since George W. Bush was president, and before that it happened in 1928.
But what’s even more amazing is if you stop and look at the Democratic Party and the leaders that remain, they are nothing more than old white people who pretend to act like they can still relate to the “middle class”. People like Nancy Pelosi (76), Harry Reid (76), Elizabeth Warren (67) and Bernie Sanders (75). Even Hillary Clinton was 69. That should speak volumes about what’s wrong with the Democratic Party. Well, that and the fact they all support progressive policies and would all like to see globalism take over America and replace capitalism. The point is after this loss, the Democratic party is going to have to restructure and rebuild if they really want to survive.
H/T Daily Mail:
President Barack Obama hands over the White House to Republican Donald Trump in 71 days, leaving the Democratic Party leaderless and with few up-and-coming stars among its aging cast of stalwarts.
The defeat of Hillary Clinton, an experienced Washington politician who sought common ground with Republicans, could make it more likely that the party will turn to its liberal wing as it grapples with its future.
That’s best represented by Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, whom Clinton defeated in a long primary,
…and Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, a pull-no-punches progressive darling.
Yeah! Just what I was thinking…say no more!
‘The Democratic Party needs to remold itself in the image of them and offer a systemic critique of the rigged economy that shows the voters who put Trump over the top that they understand why they are angry,’ said Adam Green, co-founder of the Progressive Change Campaign Committee.
Green said Democrats must make a ‘conscious decision to separate themselves from the corporate villains who are to a large extent funding their campaigns.’
I can’t see the Democrats EVER separating themselves from the corporate “villains”…I mean come on. How do you think they would support their campaign coffers? They have such groups as the AFL-CIO, NEA, SEIU, UFW along with FB and Google, CNN, Disney and other news conglomerates, all the way down to George Soros and his many funded organizations including the Open Society Foundaton. Yes, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats lost because they are “out of touch” with the majority of Americans and the “working class”.
Democrats also lost because they failed the American people. They failed to connect to those who are sick and tired of the economy, being out of work, and tired of supporting those millions of dependents on welfare. Democrats also failed to connect with millions of Americans who are tired of Obamacare and tired of paying OUTRAGEOUS deductibles and premiums. In addition, Democrats failed to realize the majority of Americans DO support closed borders and DO care about our national security.
Americans have had ENOUGH! Enough of their liberal policies and globalism. Americans had enough of the Clinton lies. Americans also had enough of the corruption.
So unless Democrats can change THAT…I don’t see any improvements.
