We all mess up from time to time that’s perfectly normal, we are human after all. But, I think it’s safe to assume that someone is DEFINATLY getting fired for this mistake.

Last night at 11PM EST, a few unsuspecting souls hopped on the couch to get ready for a brand new episode of Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown on CNN. Instead many were surprised to see that scheduled programming had been replaced by 30 minutes of adult entertainment. So let’s hope you weren’t sitting next to granny assuming you were going to watch the latest travel show. Because let’s face it, that would be beyond awkward, and no one wants to make an emergency room visit on thanksgiving because grandma had a heart attack.200w

Thankfully the mess-up only affected viewers in Boston, as CNN’s broadcasting in the city is provided by RCN, a local TV provider. The channel supposedly sent the correct video signal, but somehow RCN managed to press the wrong buttons and provide viewers with something FAR different.

Twitter user @solikearose couldn’t wait for the latest episode of the popular travel show, but was shocked to find explicit material on her screen when she flipped on the station.

I can’t wait until @RCNconnects wakes up tmrw & realizes that hardcore porn was broadcast on @CNN instead of @PartsUnknownCNN tonight

It’s likely there’s a simple explanation for the mix-up, like maybe the guy who pressed the button accidently showed what he was watching instead of what was scheduled, but until we know what really happened it’s hard to see how someone could mess up this badly and not notice for a full half an hour. Maybe they were busy doing other things while the porno was playing? Lucky for them it was past bedtime for potential underage viewers, but that probably won’t save someone at RCN from getting yelled at today.
