You read about it in books, watch it in movies, but when it come right down to it, usually this kind of thing is only the basis for a good story, not reality.
A 14-year-old boy, Franklin Ulloa, was watching TV one night when he thought he heard something coming from his back porch. After waiting about ten minutes, the teen went to check out the sound. When he opened the door he heard the noise coming from a shoe box, upon opening it, he laid his eyes upon a baby girl and a bottle of formula.
Police are now investigating the baby girl found in the box on a Long Island porch, according to reports.
“I was watching TV and I heard crying,” Ulloa told reporters.
It’s been said that the baby girl was wrapped in a blanket and dressed in a sweater and pink hat.
Victor Romero, who was residing in the home, told reporters that they wrapped the baby in the blanket and called 911.
“When I gave the baby to my wife, I came out with a flashlight to look around,” Romero stated. “But I didn’t see anybody.”
Thankfully the baby is in good health and Suffolk County Child Protective Services is taking care of the infant.
Police said they won’t release any further information at this time. It’s pretty sad that people care that little about their children. On the bright side, though, at least she didn’t chuck her baby in the garbage or try to kill it. What I don’t understand, is why she didn’t drop the poor infant off at a fire station or something. They take babies no questions asked, and at least you know the kid would be in good hands, not a stranger that could or could not be dangerous.
