Texas is well known for it’s independent attitude and is the only state that used to be it”s own country.
A new poll shows that if Hillary Clinton wins in November, 40 percent of Texans would support secession!
According to Breitbart:
Overall, Texans are so upset about the federal government that over a quarter of all voters (26 percent) would support leaving the United States regardless of the 2016 Election. Among Trump voters, that number goes up to 37 percent.
The poll also shows that Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump leads in the Lone Star State with 44 percent of the vote to Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s 38 percent. The Public Policy Polling (PPP) poll said that six percent said they were voting for Libertarian Gary Johnson; two percent polled said they were voting for Green Party candidate Jill Stein; and less than half a percent polled were for Evan McMullin. Ten percent of those polled were undecided.
Overall, 54 percent of Texans said they disapprove of President Obama’s job performance.
No suprise there, right!?
Texas is the second most populous state. It’s demographics include: 73% White, 12% Black, and 32% Hispanics, among others.
When you think of Texans you probably think of gun-toting, bible-thumping, conservative patriots. You think of Sen. Ted Cruz and Rep. Louie Gohmert. However, in Texas, there’s also a large number of Democrats who don’t even align with the Democratic party.
The independence that Texas has always fought for is at the heart of most Texans. They don’t like the Federal Government or anyone else meddling in their affairs. 40% Texans willing to secede is huge. If HRC actually wins, that will grow significantly if she starts treading where she shouldn’t in Texas.
If the Federal Government under HRC begins to use the power of DC to stick it’s nose where is does not belong, she will see some significant push-back. There are many options at the disposal of Texans to do so. Texas will use them.
