Some readers may find language in this story offensive. During the debate, Hollywood plunged into the gutter with their Social Media rants and it was the DEEP gutter!
All the regulars came out en masse and showed us all just how vulgar they really are!
It sure does not take much to upset their apple cart! Hollywood elites are easily unhinged!
Sarah Stites at NewsBusters writes:
“During the hour-and-a-half dialogue, Tinsel Town’s predictably #ImWithHer crowd gathered on the social media platform to give their own running commentary. To say their remarks did not demonstrate liberal tolerance would be an understatement.
Moderator Chris Wallace tackled abortion frankly and early on. When Trump gave a solid, albeit poorly worded, condemnation of partial-birth abortion, celebs went wild with abuse.
Comedian Sarah Silverman attacked: “I bet my life that Donny’s responsible 4 abortions as many of his ‘pro life’ politicians R – they live above the laws THEY make.”
Singer Katy Perry expressed similar sentiments, retweeting the post “Donald Trump has paid more for abortions than taxes, lets be real” supplemented with her own view that this comment was the “tweet of the night.”
Other tweets were just plain ad hominem attacks. Maher went crude, writing: “Oh for fuck sake, if Trump was any more of a pussy he’d have to grab himself.”
Disney Channel actress Zoey Deutch stooped to the same level, tweeting: “Pardon my french but it’s just hard to say it any other way?: Trump is a fucking piece of fucking shit.”
“Trump in H.D. looks like a pig’s ball sack with Mr. Potato Head lips,” jabbed actor Mark Agee.”
Dissent is am American past-time. Being vulgar and crude is a Jr. Hi School past-time. All these folks really do is show their immaturity and inability to really express a take on the issues.
Margaret Thatcher famously said:
“I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.”
Of course the concept is centuries old and Socrates nailed it! (Socrates should have had Twitter!):
“When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser.”
When one is relegated to personal attacks and crudeness, it is a sign that one cannot put together two words to really express a coherent thought.
These folks in Hollywood say more about themselves than they ever do about those they throw these insults at.
So sad that many of these same people are role models to our children.
