Did Creepy Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle Just Pay-off Child Porn Victim? [VIDEO]

You remember Jared Fogel, he’s the guy who lost tons of weight by eating Subway sandwiches. He also happened to get rich doing it.

Jared Fogel got so rich from pitching Subway sandwiches that he set up a foundation to help kids. It took a while to find out that the foundation was helping kids learn all about child pornography from none other than Jared Fogel.

Fogel was arrested and is serving time, more on that in a minute.

This week we learned that one of Jared Fogel’s victims dropped the lawsuit she had filed. It looks like Fogel settled the suit.

The judge needs to sign off on the dismissal and until that happens we won’t have details about the settlement what we do have details about the fact that Jared Fogel turns out to be a bigger scumbag than your average child porn movie maker.

The lawsuit in question was based on Fogel conspiring with his ex-partner to secretly record the young girl. Her lawsuit was for a measly $150,000 each against Fogel and his partner. Since Fogel is worth millions that seems to me like a paltry amount, I’d have gone for at least seven figures.

Rather than take advantage of the girl stupid lawyer and settle the suit, Fogel countersued the girl’s parents. You can go back and read that again it won’t change. Fogel actually sued the girl’s parents insisting that they were the ones who screwed her up mentally and emotionally and he was just an innocent bystander. Really, that’s what he did. I couldn’t make up a story like that even if I was drunk.

At any rate it looks like the girl’s lawsuit is going to be dismissed. I’m just guessing, but I’m pretty sure Jared is dropping his lawsuit as part of the agreement.

In the meantime, Jared is serving a 15.6 year sentence for his crimes. He could’ve gotten 50 years. I think he should’ve gotten 50 years, but at least the judge ignored both the defense and the prosecution when she sentence him. Jared’s lawyer asked for five years – I think the judge should’ve sentenced them to five years for even asking for that – and the prosecutor only asked for 12 ½ years.

Apparently the judge has a reputation for handing out long sentences, and while I’m certainly glad she handed out more than either the defense or prosecution ask for I really think 50 years would’ve been more appropriate.

On the other hand, Jared maybe serving that 15 in something that looks like general population. It’s reported that he actually has a prison job, serving sandwiches. I didn’t make that up either.

Jared has insisted multiple times that he “sorry” for what he did. I’m pretty sure that after his first year in prison he’s just starting to figure out the meaning of the word sorry.
