A lot of people are concerned about Mike Pence as the VP candidate with Donald Trump at the top of the Republican ticket. Even though he’s a solid conservative with great experience as a legislator in the House and has solid experience as an executive as Governor of Indiana, a lot of people consider him to be bland.
In a typical year the VP slot is filled with a fire breathing dragon (Sarah Palin) so the top of the ticket can be presented as calm and detached. Since Donald Trump is at the top of the ticket this year and he will never be called “calm and detached” Pence is a great offset.
It turns out that Pence, while there is some truth to the “bland” label, has some attack dog in him. Listen as he takes on Hillary.
“Hillary Clinton — whether it be the fact that she mishandled classified information, whether it be the fact that she left Americans in harm’s way in Benghazi, where four Americans died, and she lied about the reasons for it happening — I think there is one issue after another where Hillary Clinton is simply disqualified to be president of the United States,”
Nice shot Mike. We’re glad to see you found your Doberman.
Hillary Clinton is the best target we’ve had to run against since Barack Obama in both 2008 and 2012. The problem we had in both of those elections is that in 2008 the candidate, McCain, and in 2012, both candidates, Romney and Ryan, refused to go for the win and state the obvious: Barack Obama was never qualified to be President.
This time around the Democrats have a candidate at the top of the ticket who not only isn’t qualified to be President, as Mike Pence said, she’s disqualified. The difference this time is that we have not one, but two candidates who will make sure the American voters understand that.
It’s going to be a long hot summer. Especially if your name is Hillary.
