New polls released Sunday show Ted Cruz surging in Illinois, Ohio and Florida.

The key Tuesday battleground states will set a direction for the rest of the season.

Newsmax reports:

New polls released Sunday show Ted Cruz surging in Illinois, Ohio and Florida.

New polls released Sunday show Ted Cruz surging in Illinois, Ohio and Florida.

“In Illinois, a new CBS Battleground Tracker poll has real estate mogul Donald Trump and Cruz now locked in a statistical dead heat, 38 to 34, for First Place.”

and..

“In Ohio, Cruz is now nipping at the heels of both Kasich and Trump for first place.

The new CBS poll has Trump and John Kasich tied at 33 percent, with Cruz now
at 27 percent.”

“And in Florida…the new CBS poll has Trump still leading at 44 percent, but Cruz is now second at 24, overtaking Rubio at 21 percent.”

The following 6 polls were just released and are up at RealClearPolitics:

Race Poll Results Spread
Florida NBC/WSJ/Marist Trump 43, Rubio 22, Cruz 21, Kasich 9 Trump +21
Florida CBS News/YouGov Trump 44, Cruz 24, Rubio 21, Kasich 9 Trump +20
Ohio NBC/WSJ/Marist Kasich 39, Trump 33, Cruz 19, Rubio 6 Kasich +6
Ohio CBS News/YouGov Kasich 33, Trump 33, Cruz 27, Rubio 5 Tie
Illinois NBC/WSJ/Marist Trump 34, Cruz 25, Kasich 21, Rubio 16 Trump +9
Illinois CBS News/YouGov Trump 38, Cruz 34, Kasich 16, Rubio 11 Trump +4

Compare those with the recent weeks at RealClearPolitics. Definite surging still gong on and a defined decline with Trump.

The latest National poll, NBC News/Wall St. Jrnl, (which is a week old) has Trump at only 3 pts ahead of Cruz.

Trump is at 30 and Cruz at 27.

A statistical dead heat and as Trump has always significantly dropped from the highs in the polls when the actual vote happens…

I would say continued momentum has put Cruz in frontrunner status.

Rubio and Kasich seem to be benefiting from Trumps decline.

Rubio is closer than he has ever been to looking like he could beat Trump in Florida.

He has had a reletively good week. Depending on how much he lost between NV and last weekend, it could be a new breath or a disaster.

Kasich is also on a season high in the national poll as well.

He has pulled into 3rd on the national poll and surging ahead in the Ohio polls,  putting a successful take of his own state within reach for the first time as well.

The other Ohio poll has Kasich tied with Trump and Cruz only 3 points behind.

Everyone except Trump seems to be looking better than the last few months. Could this be a 0-5 for him?

Never know..but definitely not outside the realm of possibility.

Still…

While Y’all are watching the Presidential numbers in the Ohio Primary Tuesday,

I will be watching the Matt Lynch and JD Winteregg races!

(I LOVE this video! THIS is the attitude we need in our government officials!)

“We are Americans…and we will NEVER Give Up!”
