Hillary Clinton is under pressure to release the transcripts of her speeches to Goldman Sachs. Guess what? Don’t hold your breath.
Hillary was paid $675,000 by Goldman Sachs for three speeches. She retains the rights to those speeches and the transcripts have never been released. The common people – and her opponent Bernie Sanders – would like to know what she had to say that was worth $675,000.
A reporter approached her in New Hampshire and asked when the transcripts would be released.
“Ha, ha, ha.” Exactly the response we would expect from Hillary.
By the way, Hillary is constantly railing about the pay of CEOs. The median pay for a chief executive officer in 2014, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, was $180,000. Madame Secretary made almost four times that for those three speeches.
Where is the New York Times or the Washington Post or ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC – any of the major news outlets? Why aren’t they hammering Hillary for the transcripts of those speeches? Well, they’re not doing it because they’re Democratic operatives with bylines.
