Rubio: Illegal Aliens Can Stay

And Senator Rubio, from the Republican primary, you can go.

Marco Rubio just managed to conjoin himself with Jeb!  They both want to legalize 15 to 50 million illegal aliens.  (50 million is what we’ll have after their relatives are allowed in.)  I suspect he’s aiming for the Establishment vote.  It won’t be enough.

In an interview airing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” the Florida Republican contender for the presidency said felons shouldn’t be allowed to stay, but those who commit lesser crimes could still qualify. He didn’t specify if the people allowed to stay would ever be able to become citizens.

… “I don’t think you’re gonna round up and deport 12 million people.”

Hey Marco, you don’t have to “round up and deport” anybody.  It’s not all that complicated.

  1. Make hiring an illegal alien a felony.
  2. Make renting housing to an illegal alien a felony.
  3. Penalty:  $10,000+ fine and one month in jail per illegal, mandatory sentence.
  4. Require an eVerify form on every employee/renter.  (An I9 form is currently required.)

When you make the fine big enough the government will enforce the law.  The fine goes against the business owner/real estate broker/ranking executive in the operation and cannot be paid from the business, it must be paid from personal funds.

Illegals primarily work in hospitality, construction, and agriculture.  You can’t get a real estate license, a business license, a liquor license, or a contractors license if you’re a felon.

I’m fine with setting up an agriculture seasonal employment plan for non-citizens as long as they are registered coming in and counted going out.  Missing aliens are felonies.

As icing on the cake, you can also require an eVerify form to entrance to a college or university.  If the administration doesn’t want to comply, no Title IV funds.  That will cut off federal funding to the schools who want to flaunt the law.  Let them fund loans to their student body from their endowments.

Can’t find a job because the risk is too great to the employer?  Can’t find housing because the risk is too great to the Realtor?  Illegals will leave on their own.
