Lessons from Bill: It depends on what the meaning of the word “is” is. For Hillary it is the meaning of the word “classified”, as in emails.
Really, as you will learn here, perhaps we should give a pass to Hillary on her emails. Well, perhaps we should instead just call her a conniving liar.
Hillary declares time and again that there were no emails on her server, sent or received, which were marked “classified”.
She believes we Americans are too stupid to realize that as Secretary of State she was schooled on the importance of taking proper care of classified documents, in addition to knowing they are classified even if they are not marked that way – just by the content of the email, and the proprieties of her job.
Hillary Clinton is using the old Bill Clinton trick with words that he used during the Monica Lewinsky days. In his time, Bill said to a Grand Jury about his truthfulness under oath: “It depends on what the meaning of the word “is” is.
His efforts failed, by the way, and he was Impeached by the House of Representative for lying under oath.
For those readers who were not yet born, or who were not yet politically aware, here is a primer on President Bill Clinton’s Grand Jury testimony regarding his possible sexual relations with the young Monica Lewinsky.
First of all he had the gall to state that he was not having sexual relations with her. It was she who was having sexual relations with him. After all, she was out of sight under his desk, and he was talking to a Congressman while she was under there. That’s how he described the particular pleasures with which Monica indulged him. This revelation, by the way, led to girls as young as those in junior high school to mimic Monica, for they were told by our President himself that this was not sex.
When Bill Clinton was giving testimony to the Grand Jury regarding his “relations” with Monica Lewinsky, he actually said, “It depends on what the meaning of the word “is” is.”
Contending that his statement that “there’s nothing going on between us” had been truthful because he had no ongoing relationship with Lewinsky at the time he was questioned, Clinton said, and I kid you not, “It depends upon what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.
His license to practice law was suspended in Arkansas and later by the United States Supreme Court. He was also fined $90,000 for giving false testimony. And this man may once again live in the White House! He also paid Paula Jones $850,000 to end her lawsuit against him.
At any rate, Hillary learned this tactic from Bill, and may be telling the truth about classified emails in her own twisted way. When “top secret” or “SAP” documents were in her email server system they may NOT have had the word “classified” on them.
Here is what Wikipedia says about SAP documents: SAP documents require special marking to indicate their status. The words SPECIAL ACCESS REQUIRED, followed by the program nickname or codeword, are placed in the document’s banner line words. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_access_program
The special marking does not have the word “classified” in the banner line! See how that works? Hillary carefully chooses her words, but that does not exonerate her from being held to account for her actions which endangered not only top secret assets and people and codes and methods, but also endanger the very lives of all Americans. It does indeed depend on the meaning of the word “classified”.
