This past week “boots on the ground” took on a whole new meaning in politics.
Senator Marco Rubio wore Cuban shiny, stack-heeled ankle boots in New Hampshire. His boots over the last few days have grown into kind of a frenzy beginning first on Twitter and then spreading through the social media, the media and rival candidates.
Using the famous tune “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’ ” from Nancy Sinatra, Jeb Bush’s Right To Rise USA PAC went for some political humor in an attack ad on Marco Rubio in advance of the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary.
This political ad against Marco Rubio from the Right to Rise PAC supporting Jeb! took the boots to a whole new height.
In addition to the ad from the PAC supporting Jeb, here’s what Marco’s other rivals said:
“Rubio has those cute new boots and I don’t want to be outdone,” Senator Rand Paul said before an appearance on “The View.”
Carly Fiorina posted a Twitter message with a photograph of her own pair of high-heeled boots, with the message “Yeah, @marcorubio, but can you rock these?”
You gotta love the political ads, they’re almost as good as the Super Bowl ads, but not quite. I am not a supporter of Jeb!, but I have to give this PAC a “Golden” thumb’s up for creativity! Best line goes to Rick Tyler with the Cruz campaign. Best picture goes to Carly Fiorina. Nice job folks.
