CNN No Longer Even Trying to Hide Their Lies

CJ Pearson is the Left’s worst nightmare.  He’s 13 years old, he’s black, and he’s conservative.  He’s also a YouTube viral sensation.  Here’s CJ talking about President Obama and the Clock Boy.

CJ is viewed as the Eve of Destruction by Democrats and the left, especially the media.  So the media responded to a call to action and CNN dished up this headline on Saturday.

Viral teen YouTube star renounces conservatism

He’s seen the light, they brayed.

The 13-year-old Internet phenom who gained national attention criticizing President Barack Obama and briefly was a part of the Ted Cruz campaign is renouncing conservatism, saying he’s looking to be a voice unbound by party ideology.

CJ Pearson told CNN on Friday that concerns about the Republican Party’s viewpoints on racial and gender disparity as well as youth issues convinced him he could no longer be a mouthpiece for conservatism.

“I was tired of being a champion of a party that turned a blind eye to racial discrimination. Tired of being a champion of any cause that denies equal rights to every American. Tired of being a champion of a party that doesn’t care about the issues important to young people,” Pearson wrote in an email.

Well, it turns out that CNN jumped the gun.

CJ responded to CNN on his Facebook page.

I’ve gotten all of your messages, tweets, and posts! No worries guys – CNN just got a bit too….excited with their headline.

I still hold conservative principles but I just stepped away from the label. I wanted to be me, not what others wanted me to be me from any party. The issues facing America aren’t liberal or democrat…they’re real issues that demand solutions. I’m in this game to be an objective voice for my generation and I will do just that!

Thanks for all of your support and not prejudging before getting my explanation.

CJ certainly isn’t going away, he’s called out presidential candidates from both parties, actually, he’s called out all the Democratic candidates as well as the President.  He thinks the Republican candidates should be doing more to address issues of young people, and given his age that makes sense.

It’s going to be an interesting election cycle and CJ’s treatment by a media very hostile to a conservative message, especially from a young black man, will be one of the highlights.
