Christmas is the time of year we celebrate the birth of Christ. It is the time of miracles and giving. Speaking of giving, Country singer and songwriter, Tyler Hayes is a perfect example.
Singer and songwriter Tyler Hayes wrote and recorded a song called “Joey’s Song” inspired by Joey Feek’s battle with cancer. Hayes plans to donate 100% of the proceeds from iTunes sales to the charity of Joey’s choice.
The song was first released about a month ago on YouTube, but has recently hit the viral stream. With over 111,000 views and shares on Facebook, he’s beginning to share Joey’s story with the masses.
His heart behind the story is both heartwrenching and warming at the same time.
“I wrote this song in order to be a reminder that no matter what happens to Joey in the upcoming weeks, she will NEVER leave her family and those who care about her most. Even though her physical body may be gone, her presence will never leave. I hope this song has a chance to bring comfort and peace to her and her family.
I think you will agree with me, when I say this is truly a heartwarming song:
Feek is currently residing in home hospice care and receives treatment to subdue the pain caused by the cancer. She decided to stop treatment for her condition back in October and has been spending the past few weeks at home or in her parents home in Indiana. Feek is just hoping to make it through February to celebrate her daughter’s second birthday.
Our hearts and prayers are with you, Joey Feek, and your family during this blessed Christmas. God Bless you!
“Joey’s Song” is available for download on iTunes.
