Bobby Jindal announced today that he’s suspending his campaign for President.
Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal announced Tuesday that he is suspending his presidential campaign, making him the third current or former governor to drop out of a race where outsiders have been all the rage.
Mr. Jindal struggled to gain any momentum in the GOP nomination race, and was hurt by missing the chance to participate in the first four prime-time debates because of poor performances in national polls that were used to determine who participated in the debates.
The 44-year-old said Tuesday it was an “honor” to run for president, and said his parents — who came to America from India 45 years ago — never in their wildest dreams would have thought that their son would get elected governor and then run for the nation’s top office.
“They raised me to believe Americans can do anything, and they were right, we can. But this is not my time, so I am suspending my campaign for president,” he said.
Bobby never got any traction. He’s arguably got the best resume and is likely the best qualified executive in the country. This comes under the heading of Life Ain’t Fair.
We wish the Governor the very best and hopefully he’ll be considered for something like Secretary of HHS in a Ted Cruz administration. Or a Ben Carson administration. Or a Donald Trump administration. Or a Marco Rubio administration.
He won’t get a job in the Jeb! Bush administration because Jeb! won’t be having an administration.
You’re still young Bobby, hang in there. We need an Indian President, and I’m not talking about Fauxcahauntis.
