A Ted Cruz presidency would probably not feature a push for transgenders to be equally represented in fox holes. Make your own joke there, but the point is that we have a military to blow up stuff, kill people, protect our borders and national interest.
Ted Cruz is not afraid to say that it’s purpose is NOT to promote social justice:
Cruz was asked in Iowa about the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, and responded by blasting the military’s announcement in June to allow transgender soldiers to serve openly next year.
“How about having the military focusing on hunting down and killing the bad guys…instead of treating it as this crucible for social justice innovations,” Cruz said. “We’ve lost sight of what their job is and that’s what we need to get back to.”
It certainly seems to this Marine Corps family that Barack Obama’s goal is a “less-than-lethal military.” He’s more interested in appeasing his base with social experiments than defending our national security.
The presidential candidate went on to say that the army’s becoming a “cauldron for social experiments” would only distract from the efforts to focus on “good order and discipline.”
Mike Huckabee said the same thing at the debate.
I’m not a Huckabee fan, but he’s right on the money on this issue, as is Ted Cruz.
Of course with this one exception:
How long before they demand that M*A*S*H re-runs be taken off the air? Think I’m kidding?
