Piers Morgan makes a habit of being wrong on the 2nd Amendment

Piers Morgan is an idiot. He had a program on CNN for a while until he went ballistic over guns and demanded guns be confiscated “for the children” or some such nonsense. At that point things got so difficult for him he went back to England.

Piers got routinely taken apart by pro-Second Amendment people and we’ll feature Ted Nugent doing just that in a minute. Good riddance.

Piers is still in England, but he likes to pretend (still) that he knows something about America. Today’s article in the Daily Mail about the Oregon shooting is case on point.

I was going to deconstruct his article line by line but you wouldn’t read a 10,000 word post (neither would I.) So I’m just going to show off his most stupid comments .

Who’s to blame?

After yet another senseless, appalling gun massacre in America, there are myriad people and entities at whom we could justly level an accusing finger.

There’s the shooter himself, obviously; a pathetic, spotty, bespectacled, anxious, friendless, screwed-up weirdo named…

Piers, you should have stopped right there.

We could blame the celebrity culture which made this shooter crave fame, even if it had to be earned through annihilating a classroom full of students.

Heck Piers, you could even have stopped there. But of course you didn’t.

We could blame America’s chronic national mental health crisis, developed through decades of grotesque under-investment into treatment and massive over-production of pills which often simply add to the problem.

Or Piers, you could blame the ACLU and Progressives who’ve made it impossible to hospitalize nutcases. But you wouldn’t do that, would you.

We could blame the U.S. media for collectively failing to put enough pressure on legislators to do anything about such a catastrophic, ongoing epidemic of death and horror. In Britain, after the Dunblane school massacre in 1996, the media were instrumental in persuading politicians on all sides to come together and ban most guns from civilian hands.

That’s right Piers, your Brit media did just that and today an Englishman can’t defend himself or his family if people break into his home. He can’t even defend himself with a baseball bat. You buffoon.

You’ve also managed to force your countrymen to live with a violent crime rate that is significantly higher than in the US. People in the UK are five times more likely to be the victim of a violent crime than someone in the US.

Piers finally cuts to the chase.

So yes, there are a lot of people we could blame for what went down in Oregon at that community college.

But in the end, I know exactly who I blame most.

The National Rifle Association is responsible for America’s appalling culture of violence.

Oh really Piers? We’re going to let Ted Nugent speak for us.

Thanks Ted, and Piers, stuff that where the sun doesn’t shine. Oh, and thank you NRA for understanding the importance of the US Constitution and individual rights.
