Patterns of Evidence: Archaeological Evidence Proves Bible Exodus History

0

Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus, brings newly compiled scientific evidence to create a pattern of evidence that fits the Old Testament Narrative from Jacob to Joshua like a glove.

Some of this archaeological evidence is recent, some has been exposed for decades but it all spans the first 6 books of Old Testament History.

Filmmaker Timothy Mahoney compiles physical archaeological evidence for 6 consecutive periods of Old Testament History from Joseph’s time in Egypt to the Walls falling down in Jericho.

Listen here to my interview with Tim Mahoney and David Rohl as we discuss the documentary.

In doing so, Mahoney and Egyptologist David Rohl bring into severe question the whole Egyptian dating system commonly accepted by scholars.

Patterns of Evidence brings enough evidence to convince anyone with an ounce of common sense that these pieces match up with the Biblical accounts and the only answer the deniers have is that it doesn’t fit their timeline.

By placing the Bible timeline a few centuries ahead in Egyptian history, they say the evidence shown in the film is too early to be Bible history.

Archaeologists date the Exodus at about 1250 BC. (When you learn how flimsy the dates were set in the first place it will amaze you!)

However, since evidence matching the Exodus around 1250 BC is so scarce, most mainstream scholars have become extremely skeptical that it ever happened.

Using just the Bible, if you start at the Destruction of Jerusalem in the Old Testament and work backwards through Bible History, you cannot get a date after about 1450 BC.

Timothy Mahoney and David Rohl lay out a pattern of evidence to suggest that not only do scholars have the Bible dated wrong, but that the Egyptian timeline itself is faulty.

When you fix the timelines, the physical evidence begins to match up with the Biblical account in a pattern that could pass any jury of 12 beyond a reasonable doubt.

Patterns of Evidence covers evidence from the Israelites Arrival in Egypt beginning with Joseph, their Multiplication and Slavery, their Judgment and the Deliverance from Egypt, and their Conquest of Jericho in Canaan.

Why was a Semitic ruler (with a multicolored coat) given an Egyptian pyramid tomb? Could this be Joseph?

Why was a Semitic ruler (with a multicolored coat) given an Egyptian pyramid tomb? Could this be Joseph?

You will see evidence of a Semitic man and his family’s home. It has a Syrian style house, later turned into a small palace with 12 pillars. It was constructed in Egyptian style but belonged to a non-Egyptian high official of state. The compound has 12 tombs with one tomb that is a pyramid. In the pyramid is a large statue of a light skinned red headed man wearing a coat of many colors. He was honored with a kings burial, yet was not an Egyptian. The bones have been removed, fitting the account of the Israelites taking the bones of Joseph to the Promised Land during the Exodus.

This piece of evidence lies in a community called Avaris, a city whose ruins lay under (and are therefore older than) the ancient city of Ramses.

The only reason the skeptics give to not attribute this evidence to Joseph is the timeline. Avaris is closer to the accurate date of Josephs time in Egypt, yet the scholars want to place the Exodus at the later time of Ramses.

It really is as simple as a jigsaw puzzle. If the evidence matches like a puzzle piece in a particular place on the timeline, put it there.

Mahoney uses the Wall of Time to show the six major steps of Biblical history and how how well they match the earlier Egyptian history.

The evidence that Mahoney lays out in a pattern comes together as nicely as  puzzle pieces and he uses some incredible graphics to depict the sequence of events.

The quality of the documentary is superb and the graphics are well thought out. Mahoney uses the Wall of Time to show six major steps of Biblical history and how well they match the earlier Egyptian history.

Kevin Sorbo narrates Patterns of Evidence as Timothy continues to follow the evidence. He finds evidence for Hebrew slaves and catastrophe in Egypt, for the slaves, for the exodus and battles in the land of Caanan, all followed by the collapse of Jericho’s walls, just as described in the Bible.

I have been teaching Old Testament History for 30 years. It is with that experience that I say that this is the single-most incredible compilation of physical apologetics of my lifetime. This DVD is a must have for the collection of preachers and church leaders.

There is a great method for you to host a viewing of Patterns of Evidence at your church or club.

If you have Netflix, you can watch it there, I would however suggest everyone add this physically to their library and buy the DVD.

The findings featured in the documentary film Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus are now available in the new book by Timothy P. Mahoney and Steven Law.

The book’s pages are bursting with hundreds of beautiful images of the ancient civilization of Egypt and reenactments of the biblical stories. Maps and charts along with expert commentary illuminate the Exodus account.
