Something is brewing and I blame you…

“People spend too much time finding other people to blame, too much energy finding excuses for not being what they are capable of being, and not enough energy putting themselves on the line, growing out of the past, and getting on with their lives.” –J. Michael Straczynski

So many in our modern culture want to blame other people, groups, concepts, policies, leaders, histories, etc. for the pains and conditions of their lives, our nation and our world. They refuse to take any responsibility themselves. Every problem they have ever had, every stumbling block they have ever encountered, has been work of an oppressor– it’s always someone else’s fault.

Criminals blame “the system”.

The poor blame the rich.

The rich blame the poor.

Blacks blame whites.

Whites blame blacks.

Blacks and whites blame Hispanics.

Atheists blame Christians.

Christians blame atheists.

Gays blames everyone.

Women blame men.

Men blame women.

Muslims blame the infidels.

To us, the infidels, every Muslim is radical and therefore, blamed.

On and on it goes. A vicious circle of blaming and finger pointing and negativity and pain. Sure, #Blacklivesmatter, but they don’t matter MORE than white, brown or unborn lives. Every life matters and has value. We are fighting the wrong war, y’all. We have made each other the enemy instead of uniting for a common good.

And because we are so polarized, there are no good solutions to mendable problems because there is no personal accountability, no healthy discourse, no productive cooperation.

Our new national reality is defined primarily by a lessening of freedom and faith.

We continuously elect leaders and tolerate citizens who behave like spoiled brats or heartless vigilantes. We have settled for puppets, elitists, thugs and wanna-be tyrants instead of demanding dignified statesmen, thoughtful diplomats and public servants.

We have entrusted our nation’s security to people who refuse to see reason or face facts. They have abandoned and forsaken us. Completely.

Obama doesn’t love America. He can’t. If he did, his presidency would look completely different and his leadership would be much less narcissistic.

Democrats, well, my overall opinion of liberals and progressives isn’t appropriate for publishing. I try to keep my writing PG rated. So, suffice it to say, I hope they are satisfied. I hope they are happy. They have led the way as our nation has economically and morally nose-dived off a cliff. They have blood on their hands. I hope they are proud of themselves.

The Republican establishment. Well, for many of these folks I share the same disdain. They don’t care about conservative values. Heck, they don’t even remember what conservative values are!! If they did, we wouldn’t have Obamacare, abortion, gay marriage or the Iran deal. Just to name a few. They are out of touch and it is time for them to go. Every last one of them.

Folks, our stock market is down. Our deficit is beyond what normal minds can compute. Our military has been crippled. Our people are out of work or underemployed. Our law enforcement officers are under attack. Christians are being persecuted. Men are becoming women. Women, well, we have lost our ever-loving minds. Our rights and liberties are being eroded at a rapid pace. Our position in the world has been weaken beyond recognition. Our enemies have been embolden. Our allies have been abandoned. Our national unity is at what I would consider an all time low. We are a nation divided socio-economically, racially, spiritually and politically.

At the risk of sounding dramatic y’all, something is brewing. Something lurks upon the horizon for our nation and our people. No, I don’t think we are at the End. No, I don’t think believers are about to be raptured. However, something is coming. l have spent the last few months studying prophecy and eschatology (that’s a fancy word for “end times”) and have become more and more convinced that America is standing at a crossroads. I believe that we are on the cusp of experiencing either national redemption or decline.

Look, I know that some of you are shaking your heads and calling me a loon. I am completely fine with that. But what if I’m not wrong? What if I am not crazy? What if, God-forbid, I am right?See, there is this Jewish mystery known as the Shemitah. Google it. Read about it. Study it. Compare and contrast what went on in ancient Israel to what is going on now. Study the seven year timelines. Look at the towers that were built and the towers that have fallen. Look at the rising and falling of great nations. Look at the pattern of reward or punishment for both men and nations.

But be prepared to have your mind blown. And hopefully, if needed, your heart changed.

Y’all, I have a dream. No, wait, I have a hope. A hope that what once made us great can be rediscovered and restored. A hope that what once drew us together and bound us tightly to each other can once again be found and recaptured. I have a hope that we can return to our roots, return to our foundations and return to our faith.

I have a hope that we, Americans, people of a Christian nation, friends of Israel, champions of freedom and liberty, can at the end of the day, remember who we are and who He is.

Maci Newsom

I am a completely ordinary girl. I am a wife, mommy, daughter, sister, friend, devoted Christian, twangy Texan and proud American. While my husband was stationed at Ft. Benning, Ga., I studied at and graduated from Columbus State University. I obtained a degree in Political Science. But aside from my education, my life has been filled with valuable lessons and God-given blessings. And because of what I have seen, and because of what I have learned, I am convinced that being a conservative is right. I believe all life, born and unborn, is sacred and ordained by God. I believe marriage is between one man and one woman. I believe in good stewardship, frugality and personal accountability. I believe that America is the greatest nation the world has ever known and that she is a land filled with endless opportunity for those who are willing to work hard, make sacrifices and live within their means. I believe a strong military is not only wise, necessary and a Constitutional requirement, but also the greatest deterrent for our global enemies seeking to harm or destroy our precious way of life. I believe in liberty, freedom and the right to bear arms. In fact, I believe the assumption of our Founders was that we would all possess arms and that that sentiment explains the wording and grammatical construction of the 2nd Amendment. I believe in families. I believe in small business. I believe in low taxes and small government. I believe in the American dream and the enduring strength of the American spirit. I am a completely ordinary gal. I am a conservative country girl. http://conservativecountrygirl.blogspot.com
