Barack Obama wants to bring 200,000 “Syrian refugees” into the United States over the next two years. He’s already approved 10,000 for the remainder of this year and the administration is pushing for another 85,000 next year to get the ball rolling.
100% of those “immigrants” will be Muslims. The story is that they’re fleeing the war in Syria. You’ll remember Syria, it’s where President Obama drew a Red Line and threatened Bashir Assad with war if he crossed it by using chemical weapons. And then denied it.
By making big threats in the name of Hillary Clinton’s idea of “Smart Diplomacy” Syria devolved into a civil war that has blown most of the Middle East apart. The net result seems to be refugees fleeing the region for Europe.
According to the Daily Mail, over 213,000 refugees came into Europe in just May and June. It’s causing all kinds of havoc because once they manage to get into Europe they can freely travel anywhere without a visa and many countries – Germany, Denmark, Hungry, Bosnia, and Serbia among them are trying to shut their borders.
There’s another dynamic that is just beginning to get attention.
Only one in every five migrants claiming asylum in Europe is from Syria.
The EU logged 213,000 arrivals in April, May and June but only 44,000 of them were fleeing the Syrian civil war.
‘This exposes the lie peddled in some quarters that vast numbers of those reaching Europe are from Syria,’ said David Davies, Tory MP for Monmouth. ‘Most people who are escaping the war will go to camps in Lebanon or Jordan.
Only one in five are actually Syrian refugees. So if they’re not refugees, why are they flooding into Europe?
‘Many of those who have opted to risk their lives to come to Europe have done so for economic reasons.’
In other words, to do jobs Europeans won’t do. Or maybe there’s another reason we should be paying more attention to.
“From a national security standpoint, I take ISIS at its word when they said, in their own words, ‘We’ll use and exploit the refugee crisis to infiltrate the West.’ That concerns me,” [Mike McCaul, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee] told ABC television’s “This Week” program.
The White House said Thursday that it hopes to scale up the number of refugees the United States welcomes from war-torn Syria in the next fiscal year.
A number of US officials have said it is possible that members of the extremist Islamic State group could sneak into the country among those refugees.
But the House of Many Colors said we don’t have to worry because the “Syrian refugees” will be “vetted.” They say that out of one side of their mouth while admitting they stopped doing even rudimentary background checks on Mexican illegals in 2013.
Should we be concerned? Well, Muslim countries in the Middle East, Syria’s neighbors, aren’t taking any refugees. Nary a one.
Five of the wealthiest Muslim countries have taken no Syrian refugees in at all, arguing that doing so would open them up to the risk of terrorism.
I wonder if they know something we don’t? Or maybe their leaders care about Muslim terrorists and our leader, Barack Obama doesn’t.
