We could learn a thing or two from the Norwegians. Of course CAIR would scream about “racism” and “discrimination,” but we’d be fine with that.
Norway recently rounded up 824 Muslims who had ties with radical groups. They deported them. An amazing thing happened that has Norway celebrating!
Violent crime dropped by 30%.
Oh, and CAIR – unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism funding case – should be on the first plane out.
The new Norwegian Prime Minister, Erna Solberg, known more affectionately as “Iron Erna” began a program which targets and deports immigrants who have ties to radical groups or have committed violent crimes while in Norway.
Norway is a very small country. There’s only about five million people live there. It’s half the size of metro-Chicago and their violent crime rate dropped by half.
All they did was enforce the laws already on the books, they didn’t have to pass a single new law. The 824 deportations was a record number for Norway.
A percentage of those deported in 2014 were asylum seekers who had their applications for continued asylum rejected. They were then deported along with their families.
The majority of deportees, however, had committed crimes or had returned illegally to Norway after already having been deported.
Kvigne said it was important to view the high number of deportations made by PU in the context of dramatically falling crime rates across the country.
But not everyone in Norway is happy with the fall in violent crime. One academic, Dr Unni Wikan, Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo slammed the new policy saying:
“Norwegian women must take responsibility for the fact that Muslim men find their manner of dress provocative. And since these men believe women are responsible for rape, the women must adapt to the multicultural society around them.”
Wow, that sounds like a typically muddle-headed response from academia. Using Dr Wikan’s logic, it is the victim’s fault that she has been raped and she should dress more appropriately so as to quell the immigrants’ desire to rape her!
And heck, as long as we’re on the subject we can think of about 15 million more illegal aliens who should be on the first bus out.
Norway’s Prime Minister Apologizes for Treatment of Romas During World War Two
Prime Minister Erna Solberg apologized on Wednesday for discrimination against Norway’s Roma population before and after World War Two, calling it a dark part of the country’s history, and promised to pay reparations. The prime minister said the measures taken by the authorities at the time amounted to a “racist exclusion policy”. Data from the mid-1920s shows that between 100 and 150 Roma lived in Norway at that time, according to the Center for Studies of the Holocaust and Religious Minorities.
