EPA is Expanding Their Authority to the Puddle in Your Yard

0

Got a puddle in your yard that your kids like to splash around in?  The EPA wants to make sure you’re protecting it properly.

We wouldn’t be at all surprised if the EPA sent one of their SWAT teams to get that kid out of THEIR water and arrest his parents.

This is about control, and nothing more or less.

Even John Boehner, who has no real issues with increasing the power and reach of the federal government, can see through this one. “The administration’s decree to unilaterally expand federal authority is a raw and tyrannical power grab…”

The Obama administration would create a tyrannical power grab?  No John!  Tell us it’s not true.

They’ll use this to continue to shut down coal operations and farming.  The administration has openly declared war on coal, and if you look at what they’ve done in California’s Central Valley – historically a bread basket for the world – you’ll recognize the truth.  And, the truth is nothing resembling what’s coming out of the mouths of the administration.

EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, however, said the rule will only affect waters that have a “direct and significant” connection to larger bodies of water downstream that are already protected. The EPA said the rule focuses on streams, not ditches — limiting protection to ditches constructed out of streams or those that “function like streams and can carry pollution downstream.”

Ms. McCarthy, former CEO of REI, is lying through her capped and whitened teeth.  (Side note, are “whitened” teeth racist?)

McCarthy has acknowledged the proposed rules issued last year were confusing and said the final rules were written to be more clear.

No they won’t.  If anything, they’ll be more wordy and more confusing.  That’s how government regulators work.

The question is whether the Congress can block these rules from going into effect.  Boehner and company have been miserable failures at shutting down Obama’s efforts to regulate the US into third world status, and we don’t see them stopping them with this power grab either.
