6,400 Lois Lerner Emails FOUND! Obama’s IRS is Hiding Them

President Obama made a promise that his administration would be the “most transparent” in history.

And the Obama IRS is certainly living up to that promise with reference to Lois Lerner’s emails.

You’ll be excited to find out that the Obama IRS announced that they have magically “found” another 6,400 of Lerner’s emails .

Department of Justice lawyers Geoffrey J. Klimas and Stephanie Sasarak, acting as counsel for the IRS, submitted a U.S. District Court filing June 12 in the case Judicial Watch v. Internal Revenue Service. The court filing, provided to The Daily Caller, claims the IRS received new Lerner emails from the Treasury Department’s inspector general …

The good folks at Judicial Watch have done the job that Congress has failed to do. Unfortunately, in this case the job isn’t over. The Obama IRS isn’t turning them over to Judicial Watch.

Because the IRS is busy making sure that none of the emails are duplicates – you know, so as not to waste anyone’s time.

We wonder why they don’t have the time to knock that right out. After all, they’re not answering their phones .

Nina Olson said the IRS was able to answer seven out of every 10 calls last filing season, but today it answers four of every 10 calls, with an average wait time of 24 minutes.

Oh well. They’re probably busy doing something. Like auditing Republican campaign organizations.

It seems that the office of the Inspector General (TIGTA) checked for duplicates BEFORE they turned the emails over to the Obama IRS!

“Prior to providing the Service with the approximately 6,400 forensically-recovered emails, TIGTA identified and removed emails which appear to be duplicates of those which the Service has already produced to the Congressional Committees or were duplicates of other recovered emails.”

But the Obama IRS, in their efforts to be thorough are going to double check the Inspector General’s work. Just to be sure. But remember, they’re really busy.

“The Service expects to begin processing and reviewing the recovered emails immediately following its review and production of Lerner communications which were not forensically recovered. At this time, the Service is unable to estimate when it will finish processing and reviewing the forensically-recovered emails .”

Let’s hope the judge has a say in this.
