Black Lives Don’t Matter in Baltimore

0

Freddie Gray died from injuries in custody on April 19th, one month and one day ago.  The “Black Lives Matter” crowd when crazy, they burned down part of the city and held the usual riots.

The Justice Department is swooping into Baltimore and they’ll come up with some kind of “consent judgment” for the city so they can effectively run the police force in Baltimore.

Six cops were charged in Freddie’s death, it remains to be seen whether they will be convicted.  Those charges are fodder for another post, we’re just going to deal with Baltimore today.

Through May 17th, there have been a total of 95 murders in Baltimore.  That’s up about 30% over last year.  Since Freddie Gray, who was number 74, there have been 20 murders in the city.  Since April 19th only one murder has been closed, that would be Freddie Gray.  Here’s what the list looks like.

Note the column that indicates whether the victim had a record of violent crime.  Most victims seem to be clear.  Including Freddie Gray.

Here’s Freddie’s actually arrest record.

False reporting?  Not according to their published definition, but it’s certainly misleading.

And about the Black Lives Matter thing.  Here’s one night’s police blotter.

The incidents reported on Saturday included:

•1 a.m., 1600 block of Pennsylvania Ave., a 17-year-old shot in the shoulder and leg.

•10 p.m., 400 block of Poplar Grove, a 17-year-old shot in the neck.

On Sunday, the 10 shootings and homicides included:

•12:46 a.m., 4100 block of Rockfield Ave., a man shot dead.

•1:30 a.m., 2100 block of Herbert St., a 32-year-old man shot.

•2:23 a.m., 4000 block of E. Northern Parkway, a 33-year-old man shot in the arm.

• 4:03 a.m., a 23-year-old man walked into a hospital after being shot in the legs. He told detectives he was shot by an unknown assailant, and detectives continue to investigate where the shooting took place.

•5 p.m., 2800 block of Edmondson Ave., a 37-year-old old man was found shot in Baltimore County but told detectives he had been shot in West Baltimore.

• 6:07 p.m., 800 block of N. Franklintown Road, a 20-year-old was shot in the arm.

•10:21 p.m., 5400 block of Crismer Ave., a man was shot to death.

• 10:30 p.m., 1300 block of N. Carey St., a man was fatally shot.

•10:47 p.m., 4900 block of Beaufort Ave., a 23-year-old man was shot in the torso and legs.

•11 p.m., 5400 block of Fairlawn Ave., a man was shot dead.

If black lives really mattered they’d be doing something different in the black community.  Like choosing better role models than Freddie Gray or Michael Brown.  Like doing something about “single parent families” that aren’t “families” and leave young boys on the street.

It’s only going to get worse, a whole lot worse.  Baltimore cops appear to be giving the black community what they’ve been demanding.  They’re not messing with anybody.  The people who are going to pay the price for this are the moms like the one you saw above.

You can be sure this will spread to other major cities, the Obama Justice Department will see to it.

It’s going to be a long, hot summer.  And likely a bloody summer as well.
