Yet Another White House Fence Jumper Arrested

0

The world’s worst security force has reported that there was yet another breach of the White House fence. This time, they were able to take down the intruder almost immediately, But these guys that have important jobs never seem to be patrolling when they are needed – and they need to start doing more to keep the most sacred house in America safe:

WHITE HOUSE FENCE JUMPER

The Secret Service says it arrested a man late Sunday night after he climbed over the fence on the south side of the White House Complex (far away from the executive mansion itself).

“The individual is in custody and charges are pending,” the Secret Service said in a statement, not providing further information about the jumper.

The incident occurred around 10:25 p.m. Sunday. The south side of the White House is the one closes to the Washington Monument.

Security officials are planning to add spikes to the top of White House fences, and to eventually surround the entire complex with higher fencing. The current structures are about eight feet tall.

From the Associated Press:

“The agency has been beset by a series of security lapses, including an incident last Sept. 19 in which authorities said a man with a knife jumped a fence and ran inside the executive mansion, looking for the president. It was the sixth time someone had jumped the fence in 2014 and the 16th in the past five years, according to the Secret Service.”

Hard to know if these ‘incidents’ are jokesters on dares or if they are actual threats to the White House or the President. Either way, a taller fence will likely not do much to deter those that REALLY want access. Perhaps the Secret Service changing hands so many times has something to do with the way that ‘security’ around the White House is seemingly lax. Why on earth would there be so many issues if anyone was paying attention? Get with it, Secret Service, and quit trying to place blame on stupid things like fence height.
