You remember the Fauxcahauntis flap of a few years ago, right? Elizabeth Warren claimed to be a Cherokee. Because she had “high cheek bones” and her grandmother told stories about it. It looks like Hillary is drinking from that same polluted well.
Miss Lizzy used her “Native American heritage” to land a tenured position on the Harvard Law School Faculty, an obvious fact denied by both Warren and Harvard.
Last week Hillary went down that same path, only she is claiming all of HER grandparents were immigrants (legal?) but guess what? They’re not.
But she THOUGHT they were…
Clinton spoke in Norwalk, Iowa, on Wednesday about her family’s arrival in the country. “All my grandparents, you know, came over here,” she said.
Clinton gave similar comments in a speech in Louisville, Ky., last April, saying her paternal grandmother “immigrated with her family as a young girl to Scranton and went to work — very young ― in a silk mill.”
… a Clinton spokesman said in response, “Her grandparents always spoke about the immigrant experience and, as a result she has always thought of them as immigrants.”
And heck, at this point, what difference does it make.
