Two “unidentified” male suspects opened fire on two LAPD officers in South Los Angeles yesterday. The officers were treated at the scene for minor injuries and were able to return fire. The shooters got away and there’s currently a manhunt in progress in Los Angeles.
After the shooting of two police officers in Ferguson, Missouri last week, and the murder of two New York City police officers in December, it’s beginning to look like it’s open season on cops. LAPD sources say it appears the two officers were targeted, not just victims of random gunfire.
No information has been released on the suspects, but given the location of the shooting it’s not probable they were Tea Party members.
The Obama administration and specifically the White House have not been heard from on this incident. We expect an announcement that decries violence while at the same time condemns the inherent racism of the Los Angeles police department.
