David Clarke is a sheriff in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. He has more than a few choice words for what he calls Obama’s ‘lazy’ handling of the recent officers shooting deaths in Wisconsin. His scalding words leave little doubt to his position on Obama’s response.
More from IJR – try not to get burned:
The tensions in Ferguson, MO, continued to escalate with the shooting of two police officers, following demonstrations in the city late Wednesday night.
While President Obama and Eric Holder both condemned the criminal activity, there were some who were believed that mere words were not sufficient.
David Clarke, an African-American sheriff for Milwaukee County, WI, spoke with Fox News’ Megan Kelly. He admonished our nation’s leaders for lack of leadership in the crisis.
In the interview, the sheriff condemns the President’s handling of the violence in Ferguson with a tweet:
Violence against police is unacceptable. Our prayers are with the officers in MO. Path to justice is one all of us must travel together. –bo

FYI: All the President’s authored Tweets are signed -bo. This is a direct Tweet from President Obama in response to the recent shootings.
“That might score him point with hipsters, but it’s not going over real big with me and it’s not going over real big with the American law enforcement officer,” Clarke told Kelly.
“He took the lazy way out, he issued a tweet,” Clarke added, referring to President Obama. “He didn’t have the decency to put on a suit and go to the East Room or the Rose Garden and issue a heartfelt condemnation of what’s going on in these assaults against officers.”
In all fairness, the President also condemned the act on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show this week.
In his interview with Fox News, Clarke issued this rebuke:
“I think it’s empty rhetoric, what Eric Holder offered today, and the president — through a tweet, of all things — when they have, now, an obligation to stand up and remind people in these urban ghettos, these American ghettos, that they have a responsibility to comply with law enforcement officer commands,”
This isn’t the first time Clarke has commented on the issues involving Ferguson. After National Action News head, Rev. Al Sharpton, decided to get involved following the fatal shooting of Michael Brown, the sheriff vocalized his disapproval of the former civil rights leader.
“The next intelligent thing that comes out of his mouth will be the first. Al Sharpton ought to just shut up and go back into the gutter that he came from.”
I am all in favor of Twitter use – I sent out several a day, myself. It’s indispensable for contacting customer service departments, networking, and my large audience of readers to see my articles.
But for the PRESIDENT to use this social media tool as a way to communicate his condolences? That is just disgusting.
Sheriff Clarke tweets graphic photo in response to political website
A disturbing tweet from Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke Thursday night was aimed at national political website Politico.
Take some time off the golf course, Mr. President, and take your butt to Wisconsin. Way to call him out, Sheriff Clarke. You surely are a rising star to watch in years to come.
