The Net Neutrality rules, passed last month by the FCC, will micromanage every aspect of the internet at a federal level, result in billions of new taxes, and substantially increase litigation.  The regulations are contained in a document the size of a large phone book. Can we say goodbye 1st Amendment rights online?

Net Neutrality neutralized? There is sunshine on the horizon at the possibility of getting rid of ObamaNet! We need your help to get us there!

The legislation "will put the brakes on this FCC overreach and protect our innovators from these job-killing regulations," Blackburn said in a statement.

Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tenn.), with the support of 43 co-sponsors, has introduced a bill to gut the newly passed Net Neutrality rules.

The legislation “will put the brakes on this FCC overreach and protect our innovators from these job-killing regulations,” Blackburn said in a statement.

Blackburn’s bill proves that there is a significant number of lawmakers who are not happy with the regulations that were passed before the American people were allowed to see them. Many members also believe congress should strip the agency of some funding.

The bill’s co-sponsors include most of the Republicans on the Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. It has jurisdiction over the agency.

There are three significant congressmen absent from support. The sub-panel’s chairman, Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.), full Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-Mich.), and House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.), who is a member of the subcommittee.

We need to make sure they understand the importance of this bill! Contact these members of congress and let them know that you want Net Neutrality stopped in it’s tracks.

Here is Rep. Balckburn’s latest article on Net Neutrality at RedState!:

“I fear that light touch regulations that have allowed the Internet to prosper will now be replaced by a heavy hand that stifles innovation and does not adapt well to change. The Internet is not broken. FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai correctly opined that this “is a solution that won’t work to a problem that doesn’t exist.””
