We The People: Bigger than any Big Whatever!

Big pharmaceutical and big insurance wants to control your health; big agriculture wants to control the food you eat; big media, big church and big government want to control how you think; big banks and big government want to control your money, by taxing you and keeping you in debt, be it housing debt or college debt.

The folks who think they are running this country want to control everything about you.

And perhaps the biggest big of all, big oil and big war want to control the world.

Now I use the word think there, because the truth is God is running the entire show, that is also why I worry about the bigs, not at all. This from James: “Come now you rich weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you.”

James goes on to give them some more hell, so to speak; then he says something very interesting: “He (God) does not resist you,” You see that old saying you reap what you sow, well that is not some bullshit line, that is how God’s universe works. So the folks that, lie, steal, manipulate, kill and maim to get what they want, will die in their sins so to speak.

These big’s that I am talking about, along with being amoral, they are also apolitical. They sit in their lofty towers, smoking Cuban cigars, and drinking 500 dollar bottles of whiskey, spreading graft to politicians of both political parties. They laugh at us because we fight with each over petty differences and keep electing people who will do their bidding instead of doing the bidding of we the people.

Now we are only a couple of terrorist attacks on US soil away from marshal law. The Constitution has been slandered enough to allow uninhibited government spying, to allow the military to arrest and detain without any sort of due process. The 28 pages withheld from the 911 report are still being withheld, things like fast and furious go on without any kind of prosecution and, the Federal Reserve Bank goes without an audit, and few in congress are doing anything about it.

We the people is we the people regardless of political affiliation. Now I like a good political one liner as well as the next guy, but if we are going to run the crooks out of office we are going to have to find some common ground with those who think differently then us.

Christ said the meek shall inherit. Meek, to me, means humble and gentle. So let us not be prideful and arrogant in our arguments. I have a lot of liberal friends who I disagree with mostly about the size and scope of government. They are not bad, evil people, they are people like you and I.

They, for most part are outraged by gun violence, like the rest of us. But to say liberals are naive and stupid to want to reign in our guns, well that keeps us divided. But if you say something empathetic to show you understand their point of view, like: Look good sir or good madam I too am horrified by mass shootings; it does my heart no good to see senseless slaughter, and I truly want an end to this type of thing.

Well that  there is some common ground. Then say something like, I learn how to use guns to prevent tyranny and so as to stop a mass shooting if I am involved with one. When the earth reflects the kingdom of heaven, well maybe then using guns to protect ourselves, and prevent tyranny will become unnecessary, but we are not there yet obviously.

Instead of calling them names, invite them to a gun range and show them how to honor and handle a gun, well then hopefully their fear will come down. Hunting is so deep in the human DNA one or two trips to a gun range is usually enough to sway even the most anti-gun liberal. If they still wont be swayed, well don’t argue, just move on.

The only good thing I saw out of congress over the last few years was when Rand Paul filibustered in the Senate until Holder and the President admitted they could not use drones against the American people. That is why he is my guy.

Come on folks, we the people are bigger and supposed to be bigger than any of the big’s. Because in this free country, your religion, your health, your finances, your food, are all yours to decide, not the big’s.

About Author

Hobo John

Hobo John here, I am a fifty year old man currently living in a small town in Idaho, this is also where I grew up. Like any Idaho boy I love the outdoors, and am a sports enthusiast. But I also love the arts and paint a little myself. In Proverbs it says, "A man's pursuit is his kindness, " and that is my only true mission in life. I like to write about just about anything; songs , children's stories, politics, short stories, however, I have not attempted a novel yet. I also consider myself a bit of a philosopher, after seven years of living the homeless life I actually started to enjoy it. I started writing little phrases that I hope contain some wisdom. I call them Hobo Metaphysics. "Gentle beats the shit out of aggressive," being one of my favorites. Peace to you folks, "I love you with everything that I have." That is my motto and the truth of things.
