Abdullah of Jordan About to Go All Unforgiven on ISIS

King Abdullah of Jordan is promising epic-scale retribution on ISIS starting at dawn Wednesday. Tuesday came word – apparently news that Jordan already knew or suspected – that ISIS had burned alive a captured Jordanian fighter pilot, possibly as early as January 3.

Looks like these Islamist scum finally made the wrong enemy. As they’ve laid waste to a large portion of the Middle East, spreading their brutal Islamist tyranny and murdering thousands upon thousands of innocents, the civilized world has largely clucked and tut-tutted while doing virtually nothing. {I should point out, civilized world leadership, since

When the first American was beheaded on video, Obama spoke a few forgettable words minutes before teeing off on his regularly scheduled golf outing, as the Leftist American media asked what we did to make them hate us so much. The first murdered British prisoner brought some hand-wringing in Londinistan. The French might have actually gotten a mite peeved.

The Kurds who, to put it mildly have skin in the game, after early defeats and heavy losses have rebounded admirably and are at least fighting the terrorists to a draw (including expelling the vermin from Kobane, Yes!) and have shown them no mercy. The Japanese leader this last week, as ISIS beheaded two Japanese innocents, reacted in fury and promised revenge in the strongest of terms.

A little aside about that. Before there was Pacifist Japan, there was Empire of the Rising Sun Japan. In latter years, with the growing China threat, the warrior spirit is awakening. Toothless now, they are strong, smart, high-tech, and down in their souls very proud and ruthless warriors: they could, if they decided to make a point of it, erase a gang of thugs like ISIS. I’d pay to watch that party.

So, back to Jordan, and King Abdullah. By dawn Wednesday, he will have executed a high-value ISIS prisoner that they wanted to trade for. He’s also promised to execute many more ISIS prisoners, and to also bring substantial military pain. Abdullah happened to be in Washington DC, and shortly after the news of the murdered pilot broke, he made quite an impression at a meeting with members of the House Armed Services Committee.

In a private session with lawmakers, the king showed an extraordinary measure of anger — anger which he expressed by citing American movie icon Clint Eastwood.

“He said there is going to be retribution like ISIS hasn’t seen,” said Republican Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr….. “He mentioned ‘Unforgiven’ and he mentioned Clint Eastwood, and he actually quoted a part of the movie. He’s ready to get it on. He really is. It reminded me of how we were after 9/11. We were ready to give it to them.”

The quote was rumored to be

Anybody that doesn’t want to get killed best clear on out the back.

from this scene…

For Pete’s sake, the man is quoting Unforgiven, from the scene where the Eastwood character wipes out a roomful of men responsible for the murder of his friend Ned. He’s the king. He’s got jets, soldiers, tanks, stockpiles of ordnance, and he’s mad as hell.

Anybody in ISIS that doesn’t want to get killed, they’d best just clear on out the back. Abdullah’s about to make some terrorists dead.

The weapons had evolved, but our orders remained the same: Hunt them down and kill them off, one by one. A most successful campaign. Perhaps too successful. For those like me, a Death Dealer, this signaled the end of an era. Like the weapons of the previous century, we, too, would become obsolete. Pity, because I lived for it.
